Default How to reduce 5770's temperature

On last Sunday,I have bought a Gigabyte HD5770(GV R577UD-1GD) from bg member 'anjeltarik',which was purchased on 4th june,2010.After purchasing,I have started to use this card in my pc.I am satisfied with its performance.but I am very worried about its [email protected] core & memory clock it idles around 50*c and at load(Resident Evil 5 with everything maximum) it reaches 82-83*c.my ambient temp is now around 30*c as it is summer now.I play games @1400900 resolution. In ccc,my fan speed is set to auto.I have tested by setting the fan speed to 80%,the load temp is almost same(1*c difference).then I thought that thermal compund needs to be replaced(though the card is almost new).after that I removed the heatsink from the card and cleaned the gpu core and heatsink surface both with arcticlean and re-applied arctic silver matrix thermal paste. properly.but because of my sucking bad luck, there wasn't any significant difference in temps.I use a space 703 casing. Now I cannot find any solution of this problem.

    ---------- Post added at 09:15 ---------- Previous post was at 09:08 ----------

I would like to keep my gpu's idle temp around 45*c and load temp70*c.how would that possible?I need help from murad bro, mazhar bro, akib bro and anik bro specially.thanx in advance..........(positing from mobile, thats why two post was needed)

You should re-apply thermal paste to every component of your card after removing the cooler.

@ Casual Gamer, bro u r not the only one with this problem, google it, i found more threads regarding this issue!

    I would suggest others SAPPHIRE HD5770 1GB GDDR5 PCIE.

I luv my 5850, it's damn cool nd quite! It's idle temp is 33/34c @ 21% fan speed! Load temp after a whole night of gaming(4-5hrs) max 66c! Room e usually fan off thake, still i couldn't hear my card! So, personal experience theke sapphire suggest korlam =)

My last 4890 was a good performer but would idle @60c!

I would like to keep my gpu's idle temp around 45*c and load temp70*c.how would that possible?I need help from murad bro, mazhar bro, akib bro and anik bro specially.thanx in advance..........(positing from mobile, thats why two post was needed)
Youre temperatures are fine. Ambient temperatures being around 30'C, idling at 50'C is OK since the fan speeds are very minimal. Also, load temperatures being less than 90'C is fine. The reason the 5770 is usually hotter than the 5850 is not because of the cooler being much worse, but because the core is smaller, hence having a smaller "contact patch" with the cooler. Never mind that, if you have reapplied the thermal grease properly then it should be ok.

Also, I assume you used the Matrix, so keep in mind that it requires a long curing time, hence in time the temperatures should fall somewhat.

I dont think the sensors are giving the correct temperature, or else you are making a mistake. Even anandtech in their cold ambient temperatures are getting these results. I think you should monitor your temperature while playing the game, not check the temperature right after finishing the game. The GPU cools rapidly as soon as the load is taken off. Else, use furmark and record the temps
