i have a 450W PSU. will the it be able to handle the new card?? should i go for 512MB or 1GB on board? also, which one is preferrable: GDDR5 or DDR3??

well, ofcourse GDDR5 is preferably if you can get it. The 5000series would be the best out of the ones you mentioned! GO for the 5670.

I would suggest XFX but then I'd get attacked by sapphire loyalists (who also co-incidentally claim that XFX makes poor quality cards). I have bought 3 XFX cards till now and not even one has failed on me yet.

I also vote for the 5670 as dipanzan suggested.

yup XFX is good enough. I am currently on a XFX HD4830. Though if they are reference cards, it doesnt matter which brand you get. Just look out for better warranty options or cooling!

AFAIK Smart Tech brings in Gigabyte cards, you should try contacting them. As for MSI cards, they're not very popular but from what I know Com Valley usually keeps some MSI GFX cards in stock.

I strongly recommend the XFX 5670, but check out some Gigabyte cards before purchasing to see if their offer is better.

went to SMART TECH also. they dnt have retail sales in IDB. told me to go to some other shops, all were loaded with XFX.
i was checking for better offers. also AFAIK GIGABYTE & MSI offer better overclocking (i had an MSI card once, really juiced it out!!).

will go to ECS tommorow for some more info. may stretch my budget if i can get RADEON HD 5750!!
