    Exclamation Weird Virus!

I recently upgraded from windows 7x64 to windows 8.1 64bit.
All was okay, but suddenly a virus is appearing to be really annoying.I can't use MS Security essentials because it's not compatible with windows 8.1
So,I use Windows Defender. It alerts for the virus called "autorun.inf" o E,D,F drives.
I have no idea why defender is not removing it totally instead of giving alerts.I looked up in google, and found out that it's a hidden file.can be removed from command prompt.I followed the method but still the autorun.inf remains.
Also, now it has started to create new .exe files on D,C,E,F drives. All randomly.Defender deletes it,then another recreates.Even when there is no suspicious random .exe on the drive,it still give alerts.
Secondly, there are alerts for some "processid" type files.there are some weird alert for files in the temp folder.
Now,everything seems to be calm.no alerts. But the windows defender main menu says PC AT RISK.POTENTIAL THREATS DETECTED.
If i remove them,it will ask me to restart the pc.If I restart, again alerts will overwhelm me.I also used malwarebytes to scan,It detected alot of files and quarantined them, but still alerts are happening.
There is no performance hit on pc.It did not slow down Alhamdulillah.
Please help!!Something needs to be fixed!

    Do this:

Follow the set of commands below to show and delete the autorun.inf

    1. Go to Start then Run and type cmd and right click, Run as admin. This will open a command prompt window. On this command prompt window type the following steps.

    2. type cd\ press enter

    3. type attrib -r -h -s autorun.inf press enter
please note the spacing: no space between the dash and the letter & a space after the r h and s

    4. type del autorun.inf press enter
if the PC returns a "file not found" message - check the spelling for autorun.inf

    5. if you have a d drive: type d: and press enter for d: drive partition. Now repeat steps 3 and 4. Similarly repeat step 5 for all your hard disk partition.

After this is done, run MBAM again before restarting. Hopefully this will fix it.

I don't know what harm it does. I faced this once many years ago and that fixed it for me. Your games should be fine.

Try again in safe mode and do the scan in normal mode.

More often now we get adware like istartsurf
But ransomware like Cryptolocker is more dangerous, regular backups of files and system can help with any viruses.
