    Default Phone suggestion for ~18k

As per the title, I'd like you guys to suggest a phone around the 18k mark.

    My preferences:

    • Not too big of a screen, somewhere around ~4.2-4.5 is okay. But definitely above 4inch
    • I'd absolutely adore a big battery life, and not having to charge frequently
    • Gaming? I used to play a lot GB(Gameboy) games using an emulator on my previous Xperia X10
    • A good build quality, and a cover/protection so it doesn't get ruined if I accidentally drop it
    • Good dev support, if it's Android. Unlocked bootloaders please, it was hell using my X10 for the 1st ~7-8months, because of a locked bootloader

I'm fairly capable using Androids/iOS, as my previous phone was an Android and in addition to that, we have galore of iOS devices at home. But since I don't use them 1st hand, it might take a while take a while for me to get used to. I've using simple phones(dumb), Nokia symbians for a long time with buttons and which runs for eternity once charged(talking about 6-7days of battery life lol), so I'm a bit lazy when it come to charging phones. Would like something which holds charge for a good amount of time. It'll most likely be connected to WLAN all day, when I'm home.

I'd like to avoid Walton/Symphony, but if there's a phone which is really good and worth buying from these companies, I wouldn't hesitate.

My current choice is the Motorola Moto G which I guess is around 18k in BD markets. I'd also like an iPhone 4s, but I guess I'd have to go for second hand, and I don't really like that. The name/place of shop and with genuine warranty would be really nice. Since I'm out of touch with these recent developments regarding phones in general, somebody please update me. My X10 had a Snapdragon 1GHz, and an Adreeno 200 for GPU and it cost me ~29k back then.

Also suggest what is the best subscription for 3G, areas I frequently visit: Dhanmondi, Kalabagan, Gulshan, Niketon.

Go with Moto G 16gb. it would be the best choice for you.

And Xiaomi Redmi 1s would be a great choice too .. But you wont get Pure AOSP experience with it.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards the Moto G, though the one thing I'm sad about it is the 5MP camera. Even my 3yr old X10 had an amazing 8MP camera, I know phone cameras are not that powerful/megapixels doesn't mean much, still...

Btw can you recommend me a shop, from where I can get the G, preferably with warranty? Any authorized Motorola shop in Dhaka?

After having used Windows phones, and also using a Lumia 520 for sometime, I feel like they lack compared to Android/iOS. So not going for Windows phone, this time.

    Aww, don't get offended.

There are a total of 5 iOS device, and an Android at home. iPhone 4S, 5, 5C, iPad2, and a Galaxy Note 3. I'm buying this phone, with my own money so don't have the luxury to get those devices which would otherwise cost 25k and above if I were to get one new. I've used a Lumia 520 and also a 9 series one(not sure about the model), but as I said- I feel it lacks when compared to the other OS.

I've been using normal/simple phones for so long, yes and that's just me. But don't get the impression that I've only used them and don't know how to use other/premium/smart phones.

No authorized motorola shop in BD. Just get it from local shops, some shop will give you 1 year servicing warranty. Don't worry too much about it though, I am using it for ~6 months and no issues yet, its build quality is amazing. However if you can raise your budget to ~20k , HTC 616 is a great bargain(my cousin bought it last week for 19.5k).

looks good.. nice suggestion.. but octa core vs 1 gb RAM? How about battery consumption? 2000 mAh battery can handle that mediatek octa core?? Just askin..
