I need a suggestion of buying monitor
between Dell S2240L or Asus VX229H
I actually want to know ---
Dell is good enough or Asus is really worth buying by adding extra 2000TK
    (comparison is much appreciated)

I heard S2240L is more of a mirror than a monitor.

I am using the VX229 and it's good. No reflection or whatsoever. Looks good, colors are good if you tweak the presets a bit. DEADLY viewing angle. Don't ever watch p*** on it. I used a 15 inch CRT monitor for more than 9 years and then switched to this. I say it's pretty good. Worth the money.

Asus is worth that 2k, I saw 2 monitor side by side, and that 7ms response time of S2240L significantly worse than Asus one, You can rather consider LG IPS panel in that same price than Dell one, LG's RT looks too aggressive though, Asus is clearly superior among this three to me (colour quality & responsiveness both better)

Btw, You can also check Viewsonic 2270s. Its technical spec shows it has 4ms response time, if its true than it should be great for gaming.

@sobuj7354 if u think 7 ms response time made dell s2240l a nongamer monitor then u r sadly mistaking bro.....there is no way u can feel the differense between 7 ms and 4ms response time....this response time of led monitor is just market advertising nothing more....any monitor lower than 8ms response time can do gaming .....cant agree that dell s2240l is worse than asus if u compare price performance ratio......

any ips panel would be reflective.....advantage of ips panel is better viewing angle

this dell monitor has an amazing viewing angle... i can see movie even 160-170 degree.........play fifa with my friend anyside......

Right now, my monitor is faced with a window right in front of it and there is no reflection whatsoever. So, no.
And it's an IPS panel too. The viewing angle is 178 degree.

If you already have high ping(i.e. 100ms+) what good extra 2ms will do?

If you didn't already bought your monitor I would recommend waiting a few months cause 23-24 inch monitor price in international market dropped recently.

Does not matter that much. As monitors over 22" counts as TVs in BD and gets taxed as such.
