Thread: Warning: DO NOT buy Walton Primo X3

  1. #1

Exclamation Warning: DO NOT buy Walton Primo X3

Cheap horrible low quality manufacturers who try to copy everything.

For example the Primo X3. Sure it looks nice and all, but doesn't anyone do their RESEARCH before buying phones????

If people actually do their research, they would know that this phone is a complete clone of the Gionee Elife S5.5.

Now before you guys go wild let me tell you that I have been knowing about this stuff for years, and I'm a total expert when it comes to these kinds.

Now, WHAT ON EARTH IS WALTON THINKING!!! First of all the Gionee phone is horrible already, and then they try to copy the Gionee Elife S5.5 by making the Primo X3?!?!?

Typical of Bangladeshi phone companies to do such a thing. I'll show you proof.

Below is the Walton Primo X3 advert:

If you noticed they cut off a part and if you look at it very carefully it says GIONEE.

Now let me show you the Gionee advert from the official Gionee channel.

See what I'm talking about? And that's not all what Walton did. I found a phone review of the Walton Primo H3 and if you look at the below screenshot:

    Name: Capture.PNG
Views: 3967
Size: 764.1 KB

You can see very clearly it says GIONEE. So a big SCREW YOU TO WALTON.

So what to say. DO NOT BUY A WALTON PRODUCT. INFACT DO NOT BUY ANY GIONEE, WALTON OR SYMPHONY PRODUCT AS THEY MAY LOOK NICE, BUT DO SOME RESEARCH AND IT WILL GET TROUBLESOME IN THE LONG RUN. If you want a good budget Android phone, go for Motorola phones.

    END OF RANT

You took so much trouble in it..
Did you really thought walton manufactured phones before your "research" ?

Walton is not a copy its just a rebrand and gionee knows this very well.
Symphony and Maximus and all other chinese phones are all rebrand of genuine chinese OEM.
It's much much better to buy walton than those symphony and maximus, since at least everyone knows that walton is a rebrand of gionee( a much better OEM)

The Elife S5.5 has massive heating issues, the UI looks more like iOS and not Android, you can't put widgets, want more?

Flash it down to stock, if you must.

So far, the only valid point brought up in this thread is that it's a OEM device that is (quite obviously, and publicly known) not manufactured by Walton.

No shame in doing that, every single globally recognizable brand takes part in manufacturing OEM parts for other companies.

That said, personally, I see little point in purchasing these MediaTek / oldgen SnapDragon devices. If you have 30k to burn, my recommendation is a Nexus 5, or a Xiaomi MI3 -- both extremely nice, battle tested devices.

The Mediatek is the problem. Snapdragons are better. You can get a Moto E very cheap approx. 8000 taka with a Snapdragon 200!!!

I seen reviews of the ELIFE S 5.5 AND they're not good. Ok, if you wanna buy these phones, good luck as I'm sure one day they will malfunction.

I'm not a Motorola dealer, but I'm sure some shop will bring it soon.

Pretty much everyone knew that Walton uses rebranded phones. If that is your only concern then there's nothing to worry about. They use standard parts like every other manufacturer, so if you can find an issue in these phones then the same can be said about other brands as well.
