    Question Dead GPU? [HD6790]

Things just couldn't get worse before Eid. It all started 2 weeks back when I was playing COD4 online. The game crashed and I saw this message pop up, "Display driver AMD has stopped responding and has recovered". I thought this was due to Catalyst 14.6 (beta) version, so I immediately switched back to ver. 14.4. I installed ver. 14.6 to play Watch Dogs, which was too laggy to play as I have 4GB RAM, also my CPU might be obsolete for it.
Since then, my display gets disoriented randomly, I also get BSOD's and sometimes the PC just freezes. I even switched back to ver. 13.9 just to make sure it's not a driver problem. And I've been using this card for the last 2 years without ANY problems.
To make sure it is a GPU prob, I gave it to my friend for testing and the results were same with him. Currently I'm using my built-in display, which is running smooth.

I'm attaching some pics of the screen disorientation.

Can this be solved anyhow? Or is there any place where I can repair this? Or ANY use that I can make of it other than throwing it in the bin?

Meh. You seriously don't get it, do you? I asked for a SOLUTION. If you don't have any or if you think there isn't any, just say so rather than offering me a price for the thing like my thread is about selling it.
And about "giving it a try", I've already got a better offer without even trying.

some observations i would do if in your place:
note- this is from my personal experience and i'm no expert in these things, just trying to help out.

1.did you monitor the temps of the gpu?[reason:is it overheating]
2.is the gpu at all usable meaning does the bsod and other problems appear randomly or frequently rendering it unusable?
3.stress test it a bit, only 5-10 mins if possible. [reason:to check if temp shoots up suddenly or stress testing software gives any error]
4.what kind of power supply are you using and the model of mobo.[reason:to rule out faulty psu/insufficient power delivery]
5.did you try any other pcie graphics card[maybe your friend's card] in your pc[reason:same as no.4]

and before you throw it in the bin or sell it for 200/-[very poor price, i know] try tinkering with it if you have the time. don't give up hope, and try to check the above list.

    Thanks buddy. Appreciate your help.

1 - The temps were normal I guess for a single fan cooled GPU. The furmark stress test showed a max. of 85 deg. Still just to be sure, I confirmed it with my friend who has a HD7770, and he also got temps in the similar region.
2 - The BSODs were actually random. I think I even ran the PC without BSODs for a day or so. But the screen disorientation (as shown in attachments) is frequent, I get it everytime I turn on the PC. I can actually hear music play or game sounds with no display on the screen which means the PC is actually working.
3 - Did the longer version of the stress test too with furmark. The temps got a little bit above 90 deg.
4 - I use TT Litepower 500W. And I don't think this is the prob, as I used this for the past 2 years without an issue.
5 - I'm using my built-in graphics now, and everything is just fine. And like I said just to confirm, I gave the GPU to my friend for testing and he exactly faced the same prob as me. So if the same prob occurs in a whole different machine then surely the fault is in the GPU.

The point of this thread was to see if anything can be done with the card. So if there's no outcome, I'd rather throw it or keep it than sell it. Some idiots just don't get the point of anything and offer their idiocy to others.
