advice needed for buying desktop pc
currently i am using a very old computer which has P4 1.6 Ghz processor. so its almost unusable as you might guess.
i am thinking of buying
processor: Intel Core i3 4150 taka 9600
motherboard: Asus H97M-E -9500
Ram: twinmos 8GB -6300
HDD: toshiba 2TB- 7400
UPS: Apollo -3200
PSU: Gigabyte 480W Power Supply - 3500
or cooler master thunder 500W -5000
Monitor (most probably will buy later): Dell S2240L 21.5" LED -13300
or Asus VX229H 21.5 Inch IPS -15500
i will be using this pc for web development mainly. I may buy a discrete GPU in future thats why i am considering those PSU. i also plan to buy M.2 SSD in future.
1. my old pc has a Chinese power supply i guess which doesn't have any mention of watts in it. this old psu shouldn't work in my new pc. should it?
2. i don't need to buy a new casing. do i? my existing xtreme casing has a place for fan. when do i need to buy fan for the cpu? is a fan needed only when people overclock cpu?
3.does anyone know about more latest core i3 processor and gigabyte H97 chipset motherboard in bd?
4. say something about HDD and UPS.
get a good cpu...nd i dont think the 97 chipset is overall necessary for ur job...
get a decent i5 4th gen..with h81/b85 board
Your tears dont fall, they crash around me.
Your conscious calls, to built a pc at home!

Ditch the following things,
2. you do need a new casing. because todays psus are not like your old ones. Set it on the top of "your xtreme thing" and it will take all the hot air inside it.
