    Thumbs up Tekken 7

Bandai Namco is planning to announce Tekken 7 tonight. However, the first details on the fighting game leaked out this afternoon.

An IGN News video, posted early by AOL, mentions that Tekken 7 is being developed for current-gen consoles. It will utilize Epic Games' Unreal Engine 4.

“With Unreal Engine 4, we can rapidly achieve the visual quality expected on next-gen platforms and go beyond it,” Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada said in a statement read during the video (via Gematsu). “Not only is Unreal Engine 4 powerful and easy to use, but it allows us to easily bring Tekken 7 to any platform we desire.”

AOL quickly realized their mistake and pulled down the video. It's now listed as "restricted" if you try to view it at the link above. The quote from Harada and the logo were the only crucial parts of it, though.

While the exact platforms weren't mentioned, PS4 and Xbox One seem like natural homes for the game. It's just a question of what other systems will receive the game. Is Bandai Namco planning to release Tekken 7 on PC as well? The series has stuck to consoles (and the PSP) in the past but maybe that strategy will change with T7.

Bandai Namco can't blame AOL for spoiling the surprise. They took the cat partially out of the bag last night. Freelance writer Heidi Kemps say the company testing the projection system at EVO 2014.

The Tekken 7 announcement will supposedly happen right before the Ultra Street Fighter 4 final. The pre-show is scheduled for 5:30 PM PT, or 8:30 PM ET. Perhaps Bandai Namco will supply some critical details like a release date or at least a list of platforms.

Expect A PC Version Of Tekken 7 But To Wait A While Longer for Release date

The Japan studio head, Tala Kawasaki has meanwhile discussed the excitement of the upcoming 'Tekken 7'. He said that the partnership between Epic Games and Bandai Namco games is a perfect one. He said that there will be good results out of the partnership. He also personally confirmed that the new game will have a PC version release. He was engaged in an interview and said that the 'Tekken 7'games will come with greatly improved visuals which will be done for PS4, Xbox One and PC. He even said that the PC version was the lead platform during the development.

This might be the 20th anniversary of the 'Tekken' games but there is no good news for the fans. The fans will have to wait for a while longer as the 'Tekken 7' will not be released any time soon. As a matter of fact, Bandai Namco Games has declared that they will launch the game for playstation 4, Xbox one and PC sometime at the end of 2015.
'Tekken 7' will be developed using Unreal Engines 4 of Epic games. The last installment of the Tekken franchise was released in 2007 and Bandai Namco Games have said that they are really excited to be working on the Epic Game for Tekken 7. The executive producer and game director of the Tekken series, Katsuhiro Harada said, "The power and flexibility means that we can focus our efforts on making Tekken 7 the best possible game without worrying about spending time creating a stand-alone graphic engine."
