    Default cpu cooler installed

Finally installed my cooler master v8 cpu cooler. But it makes temperature only 6-7 degree Celsius lower. Though the rpm is only 1.4-1.5k and there is no noise of fan. So should i get a much better performance in idle situation or i deserve much more than that. And another question Is there any software which can speed up my fan's rpm. BTW it came with a rheostat but my friend lost it.

Some of my hardware mods solely depends on speedfan. Just love this software. And most importantly this baby is free.
