Smile Need Suggestion For A high Quality 2.1 Speaker

Brothers I m in India now. Here I have found many reputed Hardware brands(like Corsair,OCZ,Steelseries,Logitech,Sennheiser,Razer,Coolermaster,Antec etc) which r not available in BD.I have sold my Altec Lansing 5.1 speaker a few days ago.For that I want to bring a speaker setup 4 my PC.2.1 setup will be my choice as these setups don't eat much space. My Budget is $150.Pls suggest me guys.Logitech,Altec Lansing,Cretive,Bose all these brands are available here.

I am thinking to get one of these :

    1.Logitech Z-2300.

The Z-2300 is very good, I usually hear it over at my friends place. The bass can be a bit overwhelming, the midrange slightly lacking, but in general, those speakers are great. If you find one (unlikely) then try to get a Klipsch Promedia 2.1. If you dont prefer bass over the other frequencies, try to get a AudioEngine A2. If you dont find any of those, the Z-2300 are great and would fit your bill. Just make sure you have a sound card, onboard audio doesnt cut it for the Z-2300...

First i will suggest go for 5.1 (game and movie). but if you want to go for 2.1 then i will suggest go for thx certified speakers like z2300 or altec lansing mx5021. mazher bhi is right the bass of z2300 is overwhelming.Go for the mx5021 because its overall balanced system and widely appreciated by users and experts. And for mx6021 e the satellite speakers cant match up with the sub woofer(same problem as z2300).

Yes, the MX6021 is more balanced, but it didnt pack the punch the Z-2300's sub has by far. Basically, id rate them equally

    Bass - Z-2300
    Midrange - MX6021
    Highs - Equal

The MX6021 arguable looks better, but TBH you wont go wrong with either one. Just FYI, THX certification doesnt mean jack when it comes to music. Some of the best bookshelf speakers have no THX certification, reasons can be found after searching online.

I completely aggre with mazher bhi.
Non thx certified speakers either can be good or bad(in some cases better).you have to find it out by yourself. but thx certified speakers will surely maintain thx standard which is a good thing.Above all these it depends on your listing preferences .

MX6021 > MX5021 though. Doesnt matter which ones frequency response is more neutral, they both are coloured anyway. The MX6021 does offer much more in terms of sound output and clarity IMO. Also, while the sub has a much higher RMS than the satellites, the sub actually doesnt overwhelm the satellites as you imply.

Id still say either the Z-2300 or the MX6021. Klipsch Promedia 2.1 > both.

I would say stay away from the logitechs..........the bass is way too boomy and unnatural with a lacking midrange and highs.

I heard the altec ultra's a few days back and was quite impressed.........balanced overall sound output with strong but not boomy bass. A much better choice than the logitech.:-)

If you can please look for the acoustic energy aego m 2.1 speakers.....they are better than any other speakers named in this thread.
