Default Suggestions needed for processor and motherboard in 20000 taka.

i have some choices.but not sure which will serve well in the long run.

and guys please correct the price of any processor or motherboard with right and present price if i am wrong.

    1.Intel Core i3 530 (2.93Ghz/2.5 GT/s QPI/4MB L3 Cache) – BDT. 10,000

    Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 (P55) – BDT. 8500

    2.Intel Core i3 530 (2.93Ghz/2.5 GT/s QPI/4MB L3 Cache) – BDT. 10,000

    Mobo: ECS H55H-M @ BDT 5.5k.

hmm seems i can save some money and that can go for Extra RAM

    3.Intel Core i5 750 (2.66Ghz/4.8 GT/s QPI/8MB L3 Cache) – BDT. 16,000

    Mobo: ECS H55H-M @ BDT 5.5k.

hmm budget er beshi hoye jacche dekhi.is this i5 750 really worth the extra price?how much performance difference this processor has with i3 530 in games where 4 cores are used?

can anybody give me a link or two of bench mark for GTA 4 and Battlefield 2: Bad Company that includes performance of Intel Core i3 530 and Intel Core i5 750 in these two games.

    4.Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400(2.66Ghz/1333Mhz/4MB L2 Cache) – BDT. 13,200

    ASUS P5QPL-AM (G41) – BDT. 4,200 or

    Gigabyte GA-G41M-ES2L(G41) – BDT. 4,300

one more thing bros a week or two ago i read in some thread in BG someone wrote that DDR3 1600 ram is coming soon in BD,can anybody tell me exactly how long is that before 1600 MHz DDR3 rams become available in BD?1 month or 2 month?anybody know?cause if i buy like 1333 ram now and a month later 1600 bus ram becomes available.that would be a bit disappointing to miss.and how much would be the price difference between DDR3 1333 and DDr3 1600 RAM?any hints about that?

DDR3 1600 isnt really worth the extra 1 - 2 % performance, less so in games. You wont miss anything

Be assured that you will really benefit from the extra two cores (plus other advantages) of the i5 750, it will help. I cannot find the links for GTA IV, but more applications and games will be multithreaded in the future, along with many current games utilising more than 2 cores. Aside from that, the i5 750 has other advantages in terms of a massive difference in CPU - Memory latency (this isnt memory latency, mind you, those dont matter much), so even in single threaded games you should obtain markedly more performance. Get that along with the ECS..

thanks for clearing my confusion about DDR3 1600 performance and for the details about core I5 750 processor.

    repu added to you.

anyway bro i would love to know can i get a better motherboard for around 6000-7000 from Gigabyte brand or Asus brand?

i know these brands cost much higher prices generally.but still i hope there might be one or two low cost(H55 chip based) motherboard from these two brands that i can buy for like 6000-7000 taka if they are in that price range.

another thing bro what do you think about this motherboard?(link given below)i found this motherboard in a computer shop.

    http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/308...ard/index.html

so searched about in google and one very interesting info i came across in the website linked above that is AsRock is a extension of Asus which is quite a new and surprising info and does that mean it's build quality should be close or near to to Asus?any thoughts about you can share bro would be welcome.

hey thanks for giving me the link of specifications of this mobo.and info about this mobo.

    repu given to you bro.

and shopkeeper asked 7500 taka for it.but i forget the name of the shop.so if i decide to buy this mobo then i will have to search for it again.

i am not much into overclocking.i rather care more about the build quality of mobo.

and bro i am not sure whether the mobo i saw was ASRock H55M Pro or just ASRock H55M.i searched google ASRock H55M and i found results about ASRock H55M Pro.

The uncore describes the part of a microprocessor that is not the core. The core contains the components of the processor involved in executing instructions, including the arithmetic logic unit, floating point unit, L1 and L2 cache. Uncore functions might include L3 cache, the on-die memory controller, and other bus controllers such as PCI Express.

It means first 4/3/2/1 core(s) used.
Think you need to use 2 cores only then The processor will work at Original Clock+ ~500MHz.

First of all, think of the uncore as the memory controller in your motherboard built inside that processor. While it has other functions, the memory controller is the main thing, and increasing the speed of the uncore would have similar effects as raising the FSB. While its a bit more complex, that would help you grasp the idea. The wiki explanation is very basic, it doesnt really help you understand what the uncore actually does, but merely explains what it is. Good info nontheless

Turbo is very easy to understand. Every processor has a certain thermal design power (TDP), which rises as more cores become used in the application. The i series have a built in power control unit (PCU), basically a monitor of TDP and number of cores being used. When three or four cores of the processor are being used, the processor would automatically "overclock" itself to 2.80ghz. However, when only one or two cores are being used, the processor would "overclock" itself to 3.20ghz. That is because, as I said, the TDP is lower as the number of cores being utilised is lower.

Keep in mind that those turbo frequencies are only attainable as long as the TDP is within limits. If for some reason, say when using four cores, the TDP is higher than what the PCU's limits are, the processor would operate at 2.66ghz rather than 2.80ghz.

Edit: Also, ASROCK are good. They make decent low end motherboards, and have generally good build quality. While some have a slightly flaky BIOS, the i series motherboards dont seem to have that problem. Id say go for either that or the ECS, you shouldnt be dissappointed.

hmm budget er beshi hoye jacche dekhi.is this i5 750 really worth the extra price?how much performance difference this processor has with i3 530 in games where 4 cores are used?

can anybody give me a link or two of bench mark for GTA 4 and Battlefield 2: Bad Company that includes performance of Intel Core i3 530 and Intel Core i5 750 in these two games.

The GTA IV bechmark is here http://www.behardware.com/articles/7...d-core-i3.html . BTW, BF:BC2 is not an extremely CPU intensive game. There is no proper BF2 benchmark but you can check here http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/415199.page .

And I say go for option 3 (Core i5 + ECS). May exceed your budget but is a better buy as multithreading is going mainstream nowadays. 2 cores will become extinct soon.

anyway bro i would love to know can i get a better motherboard for around 6000-7000 from Gigabyte brand or Asus brand
Gigabyte is a superb brand and I have used one. So I know how they are. However, there is the other side of the story...
Listen closely. Let's say now you buy an Gigabyte and a Core i5. Obviously you would not live with it for your whole life. There will be a day when you will have to sell your PC. Thinking of that, when you sell your PC, if you try to advertise the fact that you have a Gigabyte which is better than ECS, it would be successful to some extent but will not work for most people. People would mostly care about RAM and what processor you use. Judging from that, ECS is a better buy and will yield you more resale value.

Moreover, motherboards do not have much performance difference in the same chipset (at least not tangeable enough for the end user). Only things to look for may be features and far less people overclock their motherboards than stated. Speaking of that, get ECS. See for yourself:

DDR3 1600 and 1333 do not have much performance difference as yet. On an hierarchy, a low latency 1333 can deliver a massive blow over 1600 of a little higher latency. So BUS is not vey significant here.

I say Anik Bhai, that is a very brilliant suggestion. I urge him to buy whatever is cheaper.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncore
Core i series have the DDR3 memory controller built in the processor rather than in a north bridge chip. What does it mean for end user? When you try to fetch something from the RAM, data has to travel a shorter distance to reach processor.

Now you overclock the Uncore in the processor to overclock the memory controller and gain extra speed. No relation with main processor frequency(other than heat). Think of it as a second processor in your main processor.

btw nobody is commenting about the build quality of ASrock motherboards.i guess not many in BD uses ASRock mobos.

@Sumon thanks but bishoy ta tik bujlam na particularly "It means first 4/3/2/1 core(s) used"

accha etar mane ki 4 cores active hole original core clock 2.66 ghz theke 2133 te downclock hoyey jabe?

but porer line ta bujalm je jodi 4 cores er moddeh 2 core active thake ba under load thake shudu taile turbo mode a oi core duita OC obey.
Intel Turbo mode is applicable here. When you use apps that need less threads/cores, let's say, 2, then the processor shuts down unused cores and auto overclocks the processor. Margin may be low but helps drastically in performance.

One last thing. Try to buy the Core i5 and if you can up your budget later, get an extra RAM. But try to keep it in 2 channel configuration (2 modules/ 4module/ 8modules). That will yield a lot of performance with Core i5.

Sorry for so much talk. I am bachal and I talk too much. Sorry again.:S
