Tom Clancy's HAWX 2 !

Ubisoft is confirming what we already told you was likely at the beginning of the week: HAWX 2 is now officially confirmed by Ubisoft. This time around, HAWX 2 will be released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Wii platforms.

The development is being handled by the Ubisoft Bucharest studio and it has reportedly been in development for some time. While this does not end the mystery of what other Tom Clancy Game could be in development, the announcement of HAWX 2 does sit pretty well with those that played the first game.

The tone might tend to make some think that the new title might be a little more tilted toward simulation this time around. No details were announced as far as when we could expect it on dealer shelves, but our sources seem to think that a release for the holiday season is likely.

Didn't play original HAWX. But i have it in my home. Seeing many avg. reviews i lost my interest. Also heard that the game has bad ending. So i have no hype for HAWX 2.

though I'm expecting a delay from ubisoft as usual.

It seems like PC gamers will face a delay, since the PC release date was not confirmed, and it's usual practice for Ubisoft to release PC versions later. I'm guessing a three month delay for PC + One month to crack the game, we aren't very likely to be flying any planes this year.

Ubisoft has confirmed that H.A.W.X 2 will land at retail on September 3 for PS3 and Xbox 360. A PC release date was not confirmed. 

We expect HAWX 2 will be more of the same as was delivered in its direct prequel. The F-22 Raptor will reappear alongside the 35 Lightening II and Su-37 Terminator, and players will fly missions for the US, Russia and Britain. Each nation will have its own pilots and supporting actors. 

It will now be possible to takeoff and land, and there will be a new night time precision targeted bomb to pilot, as well as other unmanned aerial vehicles. Ubisoft also promises improved visuals, as well as tweaked AI and a revamped damage system. Four player co-op and mid-air refuelling are also promised.
