    thanks.

monitor-what resulotion u want....for 21 inch or greater i prefer 1920*1080...at this res. dell has some models cost 11-14k
hdd- sata 3.0 or sata 2.0...prefer sata 3.0.....1tb cost 6.5k
if u dont hv graphics card with psu powered then 650va is enough...cost 2-2.5k
otherwise for gaming i would say going for 1200va which will cost 5k

So, you have to sacrifice either monitor or in the ups section.

    LG 20" LED-------- 8.5k
    Toshiba 1TB--- 5k
    PowerTree 1250va--- 5k

Now the decision is yours and i wont recommend any UPS less than 1Kva seeing your gadget.

800Va ups wont be able to handle that power hungry 1st gen i7 and CRT/IPS monitor. You need minimum 1Kva ups.

about the ups thing i need max 5 mins backup (even that's a stretch). 3-5 mins it normally takes my generator to turn on. after which i can run my pc with electricity again.

Its not about backup. Its about restarting your pc at full load when the electricity goes off. If your UPS is underwatted, it will restart while the pc is running during the loadshedding. It also depends upon PSU hold up time and UPS transfer time but underwatter UPS is the most common reason behind it.
