@Vanguard @BLOOD stain child ...

Since you linked to amazon, I'm assuming you are getting it from abroad, then these two are the best option:
    Best option: Surface
    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/...ctID.286870700

2nd best option: Dell Venue 8 Pro
    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/...ctID.289455200

Also, both of these comes with genuine windows and office.

Don't go for those crappy acer netbooks. You will regret it later.

PS: if you can increase budget just a little bit more, a surface pro is a full core i5 PC that you can buy for cheap price and take to your class. The note taking feature in it is simply the best for in-class use.

+1 for the Dell Venue 8 Pro.
T100 has eMMC which is the prime reason netbooks sucked so much. V8Pro has SSD.

In that price range all "notebooks" that are available:
    - are crap
    - slow
    - poor build quality
    - too much weight
    - no touch
    - not enough mobility
    - Windows tabs can easily use Bluetooth keyboards when needed. So you don't need to carry around a keyboard when you don't need it.
    - For presentation, a tab is much better as you can control your presentation from the tab with touch instead of bending over repeatedly to control a notebook

You should instead ask him why he thinks that notebook is superior...

As I said at the start, you linked to amazon, so I assumed you are getting from outside. To get anything good from BD at that price range is near impossible. The things available at that price range in BD are not worth any money. Try to bring it from abroad using some relative or try talking with one of those product import facebook groups. V8Pro just might be available in BD...so search for that too.
