Default Importing stuff through Facebook groups

    Hey folks,

How does the entire process (see title/subject) work?

Do people have reviews for these groups, and is there anyone in the forum who has successfully used them to get things?

If anyone has, could you please reply with what they charged you, and a small review of how the experience went? Please post a link to their page too.

Looking to build a thread with the info for both personal, and logging (so others can benefit too) reasons.

    Thanks!

My friend and I imported two mice, back in 2013. A Steelseries Sensei, and Zowei AM. We got them from Fuad bhai(AmazonBD), he charged like 50% for both and after it got to BD, we had to pay the rest of the amount. There's a weight charge of around 100gram/tk. He kept like 90 per dollar, but I forgot the exact amount but I'm sure it was withinn 90-100.

We talked over the phone, my friend PMed him on Facebook and I deposited the initial cash through BRAC bank, and gave the rest of the amount directly in his shop after receiving the product. Oh, and no warranty.

    Hope this helps.

They have a document listed under the "File" section. The entire procedure of ordering items through them including the rates and other charges is stated there.

Buying from eBay is the best option (if the product you're looking for is available @ eBay). Just find a good seller with low shipping cost and you're done. as eBay has buyer protection eikhane dui no e korar shujog nai, plus sellers refund the money if the product doesn't reach u, if a product gets damaged sellers refund just to keep their reputation intact. But recently ekta problem start hoise, bd postal services are charging stupid tax on everything and anything, £2 r jinish e 400tk er tax!! Sheidin cycle r jonno mobile holder kinlam, price 3 dollar, kintu tax rakhlo 300tk, tar upor diey holder ta bhengey gesilo, though got the refund from the seller but 300tk loss khailam postal service er chhaglamir jonno.

Don't go for these groups if eBay can do the job.

This is not really likely to be a cheap purchase (260~), so most Ebay sellers will only ship to Paypal verified addresses. I was one of the first people here with a legit Paypal account, but the problem is -- my registered address is in Japan.

If I can maybe pay with a CC (Problem v2, my card doesn't support chargebacks if I do get scammed somehow.), it's a possibility.

But yeah, it's available in Ebay just fine (Same price as Amazon, though.)

don't go for amazon.co.bd if you know anyone who has a paypal acc. I am pretty sure that ebay will get the job done. It will cost you 79 tk per dollar instead of 90-100tk per dollar.

bro.. I have a unverified Malaysian paypal business account. I used the business name of a restaurant that two of my uncles own. Since it is a paypal business account do I think I can verify my paypal account by linking it to a personal checking account (not business account) opened under the name of one my uncle who is a partner in the business.

Is there any other method to verify a paypal account other than linking it to a bank account?

Your BD delivery address should automatically become "PayPal verified address" once you order some stuff from eBay which doesn't require verified addresses and give seller positive feedback after receiving the item.

My registered address is UK, but my BD address is also PayPal verified through eBay, here:

Uhm, business account verification doesn't use personal docs. Get in touch with Paypal using proof of business registration in the respective state, that's all it should take.

Make sure your uncle(s) are aware of what you're doing though, they may mail them stuff.

As far as I know you will still get a chargeback if you get scammed as it is not necessary to pay through paypal to be eligible for ebay buyer protection. Ebay will transfer the fund into your credit card. Besides ebay is biased towards the buyers.
