Default Do I really need a laptop cooler?

Well, my laptop is kept open for at least 10 hours per day. The first thing I do in the morning is to turn it on and don't shut it down until I go to bed. Sometimes I leave it on all night for downloading purpose. But problem is my laptop is really small (11.6") with ULV i5. I'm not sure if it's harmful for the laptop and was wondering if I need a Laptop cooler/cooling pad. If yes, then which one to get. And is there any good cooler for around 1000 BDT?

U can simply buy a cheap fan , put a grill and then keep it under the laptop that is if u r using the laptop in a stationed position such as ....on table. But do get a laptop cooler if u intend to use it in a position that blocks bottom section such as using it at bed ...

Downloading should never be a problem for your laptop. If your laptop is a bit old, then I'd suggest opening it up a little and clean away any dust
in the fans and exhaust. That should show significant temp drops.
Also, yes I too use my laptop for downloading purposes, torrents, steam games etc. It will not do any harm if you can keeps temps < 50c.
Use RealTemp and monitor your temperatures. I never thought about getting a laptop cooler because my temps stay around 45 at idle.
However summer is approaching and that value might increase.

I revived my 4yr old Compaq, and now I use it more than my PC. Maybe I should get one too.

Please post some reviews, if you buy one. ^^

I guess I'll monitor the temp for some time and will get one if necessary.
