i have seen some forums disable the jump menu because it is rarely used.
and it takes up a HUGE bandwidth comparing to its usefulness.

btw, thanks for Thread/Forum Read Marking Type: enable Database (automatic forum marking) thing.
it really helps to find unread posts. login korar por current gele next time ese ekhon "new post" use kore unread post gula paowa jay.

EDIT: @Everyone: please use Quick Links > Mark Forums Read to mark all posts read.

the previous format was next to useless. first you have to look for the post date, then remember/find out the current date and then compare them to get an idea when the post was made.

how come the previous format was useless?? now you have to do some maths to know when the post was made.. and also when the posts get older it gets impossbile to tell even a time window let alone an exact time of when the post was made.. all of em is like 1 week ago.. but there were 7 days in that week and 24 hours in each day.. how is that informative?? and also.. its not always like you have to remeber what todays date is and then compare with the a post made to get a sense of when the it was posted in the old format... it said "today" and "yesterday" and imo "the day before yesterday" = "2 days ago" wont really be useful...

to you, unread threads always flash.

i didnt complain anything about unread threads did i?

im talking about the time-tag thing.. this doesnt seem helpful to me.. all of previous months posts will show "1 month ago" and things like that ... its impossbile to tell kon post kokhon kora hoise as they get older.. and this doesnt seem like a good idea to me..

maybe this should be made something that the user can choose .. so two time-tag formats should be there and each can choose whichever he/she likes..
