Default Urgent advice about GIGABYTE GV-R467ZL-1GI Radeon 4670 1GB

Guys i need urgent advice about GIGABYTE GV-R467ZL-1GI Radeon HD 4670 1GB graphics card.

i am going to buy GIGABYTE GV-R467ZL-1GI Radeon HD 4670 1GB graphics card today.

but i checked this graphics card at newegg.com.there are a lot of negative reviews and some negative reviews includes such comments as these below-

    "Windows 7 incompatability"

"This card is absolutely not compatible with Windows 7 (64)"

"Died at about 10 weeks of age. Came into office one day and saw computer was off, wouldn't restart ("no VGA" beeps from BIOS). After removing video card and resetting BIOS, system would boot. As soon as I put the card back in, no boot. Never was pushed very hard, system always ran quite cool (CPU/mobo temps rarely above 45C)."

"I wish this card had been bad from the beginning. It worked most of the time, but would often not return from some sort of sleep mode when I woke up each morning. It finally died after about 33 days - no response, and the system didn't even recognize it."

" Bought out 01/05/10. Black screen of "No Signal" on 03/30/10. Out of the 30 day Newegg window. Off to deal with Gigabyte"

"Graphics card failed POST and would not operate anymore after about the 9th week, Great job timing the failure rate beyond the 30 day easy return period. B.S. in computers."

"1600mhz memory clock, or should I say, 800 mhz
basically, I found out, newegg says that it has 1600 mhz mem clock, but the following programs all say it has 800 mhz: cpuz, gigabyte's easy tune, ati's catalyst control center, so 3 seperate programs all agree that its 800, i tried overclocking, but it wont even clock to 900mhz without crashing, I tried playing somehting intensive (to see if it was down clocked when idle) not the case with memory (though the core clock is down clocked to 200 mhz when idle, but goes back to 750 when used) so yeah, they lied about the mem clock"

"Died after 3 months of usage. I was never hard on the card and have no idea why it died. It seems that there are a few similar stories... (look at the other 1 star reviews)"

a lot those negative reviews indicate that this card died after using for a couple of weeks to a couple of months.so i am really worried whether this card lasts long or not.

if any of you BG gamers have used it or know someone using it let me what is the experience with this Gigabyte graphics card.if the experience is negative let me know what happened with the card.

also guys do you recommend me to buy this card from your experiences ?your advice/help is urgent cause i am going to buy this card today.thanks for reading.

i think you need a PSU for 5670
Kung_fu, buy it. A Couple of friends of mine has 4670 1GB, even the WHOLE XSCAPE Game Cafe is build up with 4670, I'm quite sure that this card is well and up to the mark.

And about the memory speed...you see ddr3 is dual pumped...means it works on 2 bits at a time...so effectively the speed of memory is doubled.....meaning the chip runs on 800MHz...but the speed effective is 1600MHz...and softwares can OC the 800MHz thing...so they say that..

Same way ddr5 is quad pumped...that is why although softwares will show you 1.2GHz...but the agp cards has 4.8GHz written on them....

Are you sure? ddr2 is dual pumped...intel processors are quad pumped.....cause they have 266*4=1066MHz FSB...:S

DDR 1/2/3/4 are dual pumped, then the memory controller effectively doubles or triples the bandwidth, hence the dual and triple 'channels' (P45, X58 etc). GDDR5 is quad pumped.

About GDDR5 and DDR5, well, its hard to tell what the differences would be since DDR5 is not available at all, understandable since even DDR4 hasnt been implemented as system memory yet. But usually the differences, as seen in the case of GDDR3 vs DDR3 are that GDDR3 had separate read/write pins so the GPU could both read and write in one clock cycle to the memory, but some features were ommited since they are not needed in video card memory. GDDR3 was also usually clocked faster, but both were dual pumped. Simply said, GDDR refers to video card memory while DDR refers to system memory. However DDR3 has been used in video cards in the past, as some lower end GPU's had support for regular DDR3, albeit with slight modifications, and mainly done to save costs

I have the same graphics card and running it on win 7(32 bit) for four months. It runs as smoothly as possible. No problem what so ever. as for 64 bit OS I have no idea about that.
