Cable modding my IEM
So I got myself a Meelectronics A161P in March. It was around $90 I think.
Really really good IEM and I love it so far.
Now the sad part, The build quality is not good at all. I have already frayed and damaged both cables. And my left channel has started to act up.
The problem is with the cable housing, which has fractured. The stress relief bit on both ear pieces did the opposite of what it was supposed to do.
Now I want to recable them.
Here the information I need,
1. Good quality 28AWG or slimmer pure copper cables(preferably silver coated and with really really good isolator), which are oxygen free and has high number of strands, like 30+.
2. Good 3.5mm stereo right-angle plug. I have used the locally available ones, they are horrendous.
I can order them from abroad, but I would like to check out the local market first. Anyone knows where I can get these?
I was thinking about making removable cables, but after opening them up, there is no way I can put a Westone socket in there.
Thanks in advance.

Vaia, I don't think you would have much luck here, still Hocky stadium market could be worth a try if you are looking for the cables. & 3.5 mm plugs which are locally available usually are of poor quality & aren't very long lasting. I once used a plug made by indian company, which worked(after filling up the strain relief area with resin) but looked really weird & sound quality was not up to the mark.
Best is to get them from abroad. You get what you want atleast.
