    Default Dual boot windows 7 and 8.1 , how to?

    i want to check out the new windows 8.1 . is a dual boot possible with old windows 7.. also incase i want to revert back to the windows 7 is there a way to delete windows 8 and just to keep 7 as was?

    Yes, recreate the boot table if you want to delete either OS.
    Install Windows 8 in any other drive than C: which I assume is where your Win7 is and dual boot should work.

    There is no point in using windows 7.

    If you don't like Metro side of things on Windows 8, there are plenty of software available (classive shell, start8 etc) that can make windows 8 look like windows 7 while keeping all the performance improvement etc.
    The abuse of greatness is when it disjoins remorse from power.

    whats the problem?

    I guess you tried installing directly from the file..It wont work..you will need to boot it from a DVD or a pendrive..

    i did, i created a bootable usb with rufus. but my bios would say there is a disk read error, right after "press any key to boot from USB". i ve tried every possible boot priority
    n.b.- i downloaded a 5GB file, no way i can burn it on a dvd either.
