if u don't mind, but i'll say there's no need to open a new thread for this topic.

first, JC2 isn't a power hungry game at all, infact it's quite well optimized. then, no one can say about crysis 2, coz no benchmarks haven't released yet. metro is.... not that optimized and not that power hungry game in DX9/10 mode, but in DX11 mode, it's quite power hungry simply for unoptimization, which is simple for new titles for new api's.

same goes for crysis, in dx10 mode, it's just worthless. :/ seriously unoptimized in dx10 mode. and ArmA II ?? play it, and u'll see what kind of optimization was done for that game. :/ bugs, bugs and bugs.... good a.i. and gfx all the way though, but bugs and unoptimization ate the game.

here goes my list for most power hungry dx9/10 game -

    1. ArmA II
    2. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear Sky
    3. Crysis

I haven't played S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Pripyat and Aliens vs. Predator with cranked up all gfx settings in dx10 mode, so can't say about them.

I didn't tried the 1.2 patch, so can't speak about it. And, Metro's optimal system requirements (Core i7, 8GB+ ram, GTX 480) were the result of intel and nvidia's bribery to THQ, also it's a bit of joke. Sometimes I think that, why 4A Games recommended 8GB+ ram ? they want to store the whole game in RAM instead of HDD ? and, they recommended GTX 480 at that time when no one have seen the first performance glimpse of GTX 400 series. :zz: what kind of recommendation/bribery is that ? :/

Unfortunately the most system hungry thing is our mind! Good thing is there is an easy fix for that!! Go to your mind's driver control center and turn off the Graphics Hunger option and enable Happy Gaming. Should work.!!!

Saints Row 2 was seriously unoptimized game. And, also add Spiderman 3... :/
Even IGN had play that game in low details in their supercomputer in 2007...

Well on my rig, Metro 2033 runs great on DX10 "high" setting. But on Very High, the bad optimization starts to eat up the performance. But I run Battlefield Bad Company 2 on DX 10 (HIGHEST SETTING+Native Resolution of 1440x900) and I get abt 30-50 FPS which is great. Also dnt forget Mass Effect 2 which is also brilliantly optimized. But I would say, ArmA II has some pretty bad technical issues, not just optimization. ArmA II Operation Arrowhead, which is the standalone expansion for ArmA II improves upon the original GREATLY, much better performance, WAY less bugs and glitches. I'd recommend that expansion instead of the original one if you want to enjoy a well developed game such as ArmA II.
