Duel (1v1) Tournament Rules

Date/Place:

Date: Friday, May 14th, 2010 (not fixed yet)
Location: Not fixed yet. One of the below.
1. Gamo, Baridhara
2. Gamo, Mohammadpur

Registration:

Deadline for Registration: Onsite, before tournament.
Entry Fee: 100 taka. Players have to pay for their playing time.

Definitions:

Game Mode: Duel (1v1 DM)
Tournament Format: Double Elimination (each player has to lose twice to get KOed). Click here for details.
Game: One map 15 minutes
Match: One match in first rounds. In Semi Finals and Final Best of 3 (Bo3) Games
Overtime: Normal UT3 overtime

Game Format:

Game Version: UT3 Patch 5 & UTComp3 v3.1.
Competition Format: Duel (1v1 DM)
Players: Two (2)
Time limit: 15 minutes
Victory Condition: Whoever wins. In case of Bo3 the first player to win two games.

Map Pool:

• DM-Biohazard
• DM-Diesel
• DM-Koos Barge
• DM-RisingSun

Map pool is not finalized yet. Obviously we cant have this much maps. Selected maps are bold.

Map Selection:
If both players agrees than that map will be selected. If two players select different maps than a toss will decide. In Bo3 matches players have to select different maps. If a 3rd map is necessary than admin will choose the map randomly from the pool.

Server Settings:

The following server settings will be used for all matches

Translocator – Off
Weapons Stay – Off

Demo:

All matches will be recorded as demos.

Hardware:

If any of the players want to bring their keyboard/mouse/mouse pad/headphones. They are totally allowed.

Prize:

Total Prize Money: Total Entry Fee
1st Prize: 70% of Total Prize Money
2nd Prize: 30% of Total Prize Money

Prize money is not ensured. It may turn up to be a friendly tourney.

i think there will be 3 maps for the pool.. let it be a,b,c. so two things can happen,

a - 2 vote, b - 2 vote, c - 0 vote. take a,b
a - 2 vote, b - 1 vote, c - 1 vote. take b,c

I am trying to select small maps....there are some good maps...like shangree la and sentinel...but they are quite big...

Talk with a cafe owner and decide the venue & date first, do these things later on. I suggest hosting the tourney at 360 game zone. If you want the tourney to be hosted out there then I can manage it for you guys.

Thanks for considering GAMO as the venue. I will co-ordinate with the organizer about the tourney and try to help my level best. I will suggest the venue GAMO Boshundhara only and Players dont have to pay for their playing time. Playing time will be sponsored by GAMO for the tourney.

I guess we do not have the latest patch installed so It wud be very nice if someone from the organizer can call me and we can talk about the tourney in details. I will provide organizers access to the desktop so u can save all the demos and do the necessary changes. Please communicate with me. here is my number - 01914861970
I dont like to see things repeated like the CS tourney at Mohammadpur GAMO where organizer didnt let me know wht they need.

360 is also a good venue... I will leave it totally on the gamers. wherever u want to host.. I will still try to contribute as much as I can since it is for the UT community and I love playing UT.

It wud be really nice to have some posters too.. so we can hang thm on all the branches and other gaming cafes to get more participation.
