Thread: Which combo will be better ?

Default Which combo will be better ?

    1. Core i7 920 (stock cooler)
    ECS Black Edition X58B-A2 @ 12,000 ~ 12,500/-
    3x ADATA/Transcend 2GB DDR3 1333 Bus @ 11,100/-

    2. Core i5 750 (stock cooler)
    GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3 @ 11,000/- (has USB 3.0 and SATA 3.0)
    2x ADATA/Transcend 2GB DDR3 1333 Bus @ 7,400/-

price doesn't matters. just which'll be better for long-term ? 1st rig's advantages are - extra 2GB ram, better OCing maybe, and 920 has 8 threads.

2nd rig's advantages are - USB 3.0, sata 3.0 (though they're not available atm, but they'll be a big advantage in long-term). and another weak point,, if I enable USB 3.0 and SATA 3.0, then I'll have to run in PCI-E 2.0 x8 mode, which'll be a bottleneck for next-gen gpus. this rig is for my friend, and he's using 5850 1GB with Corsair TX850W with his current E8400/P43.

btw, it'll be used for around 4 years. and, how's the mobo ECS Black Edition X58B-A2 @ 12,000 ~ 12,500 ? I mean the quality ? and the OCing capibility ? is 9,000 taka's GIGABYTE GA-P55M-UD2 better than this ?

Be carefull about ECS x58b-a2.... It has some serious compatibiliity issue with some ram modules. OC korte gele 1333mhz ram auto 1066 e hoe boshe thake... and then the system won't boot. But once you can work it out with compatible RAMs its the awesomest mobo for OCing.. Currently using X58B-A2 and used Asus P6T for a while. X58B-A2 OCs better and more stable for volt moding. Donno about P55!
