Hey guys !
Whats up, few days ive been wondering about the loudspeaker market in bangladesh, then I realize it dominated by all those 5.1 2.1 7.1 crappy systems , well not to say crappy its just I preffer book shelf wooden speakers which provide 10x better quality , anyways enough of that .
First Id like to start off with the current mainstream market , the current market is dominated by creative, and you wanna how well they manufacture speaker?.. I think the only good speakers theyve made so far is the Gigawork T series , a bunch of good midrange speakers ( dont get me wrong here midrange doesnot relate to budget here , its the type of speaker , different speakers have diff freq eg tweeter (high freq) midrange (mid freq like voice or the highs in drums) woofer (bass ! duh) . anyways creative speakers are a bit overhyped, they mostly suffer from poor plastic cabinets and bad crossovers.
btw I did and do own some creative speakers . but I only preffer the T series , but that thing is not built for bass!
Now on to other company Altec lansing, Genrally very good , but the current altecs dont have good midrange driver , so usually youll feel that the bass is overwhelming and is drowning the other sounds .They used to make awesome products back in the day but now they focus on multimedia pc spekaers only , but I do admit they make some stylish shiz !
Now off to microlab, now you all may think this chinise company is ¤¤¤¤ and why am I even bothering to write something about this , well you are quite mistaken , microlab is one of the best chinise loudspeakr manufacturers, they used to suck before , but they have introduced higher end products , which are designed by peter larson ,supposedly a Danish speaker designer , anyways Microlabs have good subs, they make excellent wodden cabinets and they have excellent build quality, only the ones designed by larson though , the others still suck ! ..
Now the worst problems that these speakers face is the crossover issue , either you will feel too lil bass , or overwhelming bass because the crossover cant divide the frequency channels properly . that is why these mainstream speakers dont sound so well , but dont be mistaken its not the speakers fault its mostl the crossover , but in case of cracking noises or distortions its the speaker to blame !, which lower end products suffer from.
Well people in Bd all go screaming BOSE! .. lemme tell you something, Bose is a bigshot yes , but their products have detorieted , Now only the likes of acoustic energy , JBL , Infinity ,Wharfdale have imba bookshelf speakers .
Btw my dad used to manufacture custom speakers From the late 80's , Hes renowned in the audiophile community in Bd . his speakers are truly amazing , although he did retire from this buissness , he used to make amps and speakers using the refrence designs of bose wharfdale and cambridge audio and he also has expensive audio products lots and lots of them ... and I used one of his design to make a central unit speakers , and they provide clarity far better than any of my desktop speakers Ill post the images rite away , and btw this isnt only my saying I also provided one of my prototypes to wasi bhai he also used it and he loved it >
