    true that
    but i've a question also
how can two 40 mm speakers provide 7.1 surround sound?
    and some user review claims
they couldn't feel the 7.1 surround technology like Barracuda's
that's why i left Barracuda out of my list
    unlike Roccat Kave
which has 6 speakers divided in two sides
    angled @12 degrees
i mean that can be assumed to provide surround sound
    clear me on this plz
and do provide a suggestion from less than $100 group

Don't let the number of speakers in headsets cloud your judgement, its not new technology, it has been a around for quite sometime.

From the research I did previously, it seemed that the G35 is the best surround sound headset available, but later on I read that it wasn't too good with music. But I didn't look much into it later as its USB only and I needed one with a standard 3.5mm jack.

G35 doesn't have any old or conventional driver. Those 40mm drums are full of liquide fluid that reacts with magnetic field and they are called "Ferrofluid" and their position and density is controlled by this nano magnets that have interchangable intensity field called "neodymeum maglnet"... this magnets changes the position of the fluid around the 40mm drums of G35... this is the the most cutting edge technology to create precise position and seperation of the frequencies. Thats how G35s channel positions are million times more accurate then any other conventional coil based Drivers. Do a small research on "Ferrofluid" in youtube... all your confusions will be cleared.

    Holy Crap!!!
    that's some technology
    blowed my mind
using fluids+magnets to differentiate between frequencies
no wonder it can provide 7.1 out of two speakers
ur reply answers my question thoroughly
    thank u very much
