I think qubee is winning....not because of pricing but by support....banglalion is probably the dorkiest tech company i have ever seen....i am pretty sure if they hire half the BG members and fire their people we will do a better company........every single time i meet them...it feel likes i know more about their company/wimax/technology than they do....and putting some hot girls in a booth and showing them off is not the best way to market a new technology...when this pretty faces dont know anything...and when a tech guy shows up...he is confused like cant difference a horse from a rat......and dont talk about phone support...i am pretty sure theirs call centre is located in amazon (for fact qubees too...when the last time you got someone on the other end)...or maybe they hired one guy to answer all the calls....maybe that will explain the insane hold times....

Qubee s support is not that great either...i am suppose to get a refund from them 1month ago...but looks like i have to goto their office and bash some doors to get it...

    banglalion will be better.

banglalion boasts 2 extra (valuable,, otherwise advanced or costly) modems, 2 extra packages (more than 1mb.... 2mbps and 5mbps).

atm, qubee is limited to dhaka only, but we are enjoying banglalion in ctg,, and thus we can hope that banglalion will provide service countrywide more quickly than qubee.

again, banglalion provides half of the speed as download speed of the total package speed, where qubee only provides 1/4 of the total package's speed.

plus, they bought extra frequency by spending more money during tender.

and salman vai, I don't get your point... u are telling that, banglalion is not good coz their customer service isn't good ? :S well, asus er 500w/550w psu ta khub bhalo, but global er behave kharap, so.... btw, u also said that qubee is also same from that point.

@ lynas vai and sumon vai, why u r saying that qubee will be better ?

Banglalion & Qubee's customer support both suck hard time!

Qubee got more appeal since it's an international provider, but that doesn't mean that they are the best. I got a thing for Banglalion because their Internet speeds are as good as Qubee's despite being under Bangladeshi ownership. Qubee got more chances of winning in terms of subscriber numbers, but Banglalion could defy them if we support their untapped potential (think about Airtel in India).

PS: After long struggle with Qubee's stupid problems of ZERO signal at night time (ajib jinish, day te full signal kintu raate hauwa) + delayed engineering support, my friend at Uttara, Sector#11 switched to Banglalion from Qubee, and didn't have any regrets!

well, even if I agree in this point, one can't choose the better one by judging ONLY the customer behaviour.

Qubee came before, so we should expect their customer number to be higher.

now that's the sprit of your friend. and the weakness of qubee.

@ those, who are saying qubee is better, give enough reason, like my previous post, where I gave against qubee.

And, I'm pretty sure that WiMAX will become common, coz these companies invested heavily in WiMAX, which will give us not only wireless internet, but also IP-Phone and Dish/IP-TV (Heard this word yesterday).

I cant say which one is "better".. you know what i mean?

Coz i only use Qubee. All i can say is, they provided what they promised.. up until now.

Its just [EB]. Not Elite B[a]stard or anything like that.

Coz i only use Qubee. All i can say is, they provided what they promised.. up until now.
then I can say that Banglalion indirectly promised better network.

and what swordenium vai told ? Just use banglalion and u'll see the difference.

@pollob vai, lalbagh e ekhono ashe nai ? Lol... Dhaka sucks. :/ but soon chole ashbe.

btw, I don't understand why max people saying qubee is better without even giving some proper reason ? :/

lol, guys this thread will become somehow like ATI vs. NVIDIA soon enough.

look bro, It takes around 4k to buy a modem[whatever]. So i cant just switch because BanglaLion is local.

What exactly "promised better network" means? Hell I dont even know what the word "promise" means when it is used in Bangladesh.

And you cant say which one is better until you use both. I only have exp with Qubee.

Its just [EB]. Not Elite B[a]stard or anything like that.

u r right. Ar, jehetu banglalion technically qubee er cheye onek agai ase, so blion practically/commercially o agai thakbe, jodi na qubee kono karishma kore. :/

Look guys, ISPs like Smile invested ONLY 80 LAKH IN TOTAL OR AT MAX. Where, banglalion/qubee gave ONLY 225 KOTI AS TENDER Fee and 15 KOTI TAKA AS LICENSE FEE, SO THEY GAVE ONLY 240 KOTI TAKA DURING TENDER.

PLUS, EQUIPMENT, STUFF COSTING, OTHER VARIOUS INVESTMENT, APPLYING FIBAR OPTICS, MAKING TOWER COUNTRYWIDE AND OVERALLY THEIR TOTAL COSTING WOULD BE AROUND OR MORE THAN 2 HAZAR KOTI TAKA. I'm talking about both qubee/banglalion.

    SO, MAX OF U GUYS R COMPARING A 2000 KOTI TAKA'S PLAN WITH A DIRTY 80 LAKH TAKA'S PLAN ? get real. :/

and, official rate of 1mBps(byte) is 18,000/-. and, hisheb kore dekhsi 128kbps(bit) er dam ashe 281.25 taka. Where, banglalion giving 128kbps(bit, 8bit=1Byte) in 600/- excluding vat as THEIR FIRST RATE. Government bandwidth er dam komabe ar sob milay amra 1.5-2.0 year or ero age 200-300 takai wimax pabo. Ei sob kotha ami onek ageo bolsilam, kin2 sobai bolsilo ami dreaming e asi. :zz: vai, then ekhon dekhen real ta ki. :zz:

Again, wimax isn't only limited to pc's. It can work in all medias/network. Like- wire or wireless, star, ring or other network. Wimax can be used in laptop, mobile(by 3G), dish(tv) etc etc.

    so, wimax rawkz.
