Default GeForce GTX 470 Graphics Card Pictured

A picture of what NVIDIA's reference design for its next-gen performance graphics card, the GeForce GTX 470, could look like made it to sections of the media. The card is characteristically shorter than the GTX 480 reference design card spotted earlier. The GeForce GTX 470 will be the slightly more affordable part in the series. It is based on NVIDIA's new GF100 graphics core. The GTX 470 has 448 CUDA cores (shader cores), and has a 320-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface. Board partners will sell these cards with 1280 MB of memory. The back of the card shows tracks for 10 memory chips (confirming the 320-bit wide memory interface), and interestingly, also lacks traces for an external display IO processor (like the NVIO2 processor on GT200 based accelerators), cutting down the overall cost of manufacturing. The card draws power from two 6-pin power connectors, and has two SLI fingers for 3-way SLI support. Its connectivity includes two DVI-D, and HDMI.

You expect a high-end card (especially from nVidia) to be shorter?

Wrong zulk bro. The market is not over yet. How much u think abt da fermi? how it will do? first come to the point. If u plan to buy a hd 5870, will u buy it? the price of gtx 480 is not so high as previous gpu'S. But the gtx 480 is bit faster than hd 5870. In tesselation, the gtx 480 is lot faster than hd 5870. It blows the cypress xt. It closes its performance to the hd 5970. Think about the future gaming. Developers will use the tesselation feature for sure. So when u gonna buy a gpu with over $400, u probably gonna keep it for atleast next 2-3years for sure. So these days dx11 games will be all over the market n nvidia fermi gpu gonna take out the ati hd 5000 family. N end of this year the hd 6000 will come, so the next gen gpu frm nvidia will also arrive. So, as the hd 4000 series being captured by gtx 200 series though the price is high, but the fermi gpu will have competitive price. So, ati will bring their next gen gpu. This is what happend till now.
