    Default Suggestion needed:4890 vapor-x or 5770

Guys I need one suggestion from you.my native resolution is 1400 x 900(not so huge) and my present card is 4850 toxic which is going to be sold out soon.I want to upgrade my gpu now because I want to make my pc powerful enough to run all the games(off course there will be some exceptions like crysis2) maxed out till end of the 2011.I am considering the 4890 vapor-x &5770 as my res is not so high.I can't afford that much money to buy a 5850.I also think that 5850 will be a bit overkill for my resolution so that it is not worth to buy that monster.so my choice is bounded between the two above mentioned cards.I have researched quite a lot in the internet about it.But I couldn't decide.4890 is a dx10.1 card but in terms of raw power it's still a monster.on the other hand,5770 supports dx11,draws a much less power ,generates less heat.it has also some extra features like directcompute and bla bla.4890 costs 16800tk and 5770 costs 14000tk now.the main thing I am considering is the future proofing.I want to keep that gpu till the end of 2011.So,guys please give me best advice.don't think the psu as an major issue.I already have a psu which is capable of running both of those cards easily.just consider which will be a worth buying along with future proofing. ADVANCED THANKS.

    i'll suggest that u get the 4890
cause there ain't much difference between dx11 and dx10
    i mean, it's not worth rejecting 4890 over 5770
and u are going to upgrade again in 2011 right?
so by that time dx10 will be more or less like dx9 is today to us
moreover, the dx11 card prices will also drop by then
maybe nvidia will release dx11 too by that time
and u'll have range of options to choose from
    sacrificing FPS/performance over only dx11
    doesn't seem worthwhile to me

One thing in DX11 is important...its tesselation....it really matters...but 4890 will be faster but 5770 will be DX11...if you can anyhow get 5850 it will be great....but you cant...

instead why don't u store that money and use it later when u'll be able to afford 5850
4800 series was better than others and i'm sure 5800 series will also be better than its underlings

What are you exactly referring to as "future-proofing"? Playing all games at 16xAF 4xAA? If so then hold off upgrading now, I'm sure you'll get a much better deal at the end of this year when Fermi will be available in all variants and prices will come down to a reasonable level.
In case Fermi IS a beast, you'll be really disappointed on not having waited a while longer before upgrading.

Ekhane akta jinish tomakei chose korte hobe. Do u want future proofing or performance? dx11 er kintu beshi game ber hote parbena 2011 er modhe. Evry game will b dx 10 along with some dx 11 game.so amar mone hoy u should care abt performance.coz dx10 kintu 2010 n 2011 er jonno valo jabe. N dx10 dx9 er moto atota old o hobena.coz dx11 came early. So dx 10 with high performance is better. Get a 4890 vapor-x. N jeta bollam dx11 e graphics dx10 theke aktu differ korbe.bt most game will get fully support of dx10.so ami mone kori 4890 better choice.n oh ha u can wait also. Fermi ber hole ati dam komabe aktu. R fermi o valo gpu ber korbe.so wait korao wise decision. Fermi march-may er modhe release dibe. Beshi wait korte hobena.
