Thread: -Dota Ranking System In Bangladesh-

    Default -Dota Ranking System In Bangladesh-

    Hey guys,

    So yeah the title says it mostly but here is a DETAILED description of what purpose this topic serves.

    For those of who don't know what dota ranking system is all about, well let me enlighten your mind.

    Well basically it records and brands a team of for its accomplishments. E.g. Last tournament top 3 teams were officially announced and they are

    1.SP=Shadow play
    2.TX=The Executioners
    3.XL=Xtreme Lungiz:mellow:

    As we all know that the ranking system in Bangladesh has been officially established and thus its not perfect....its going to take all our hard work and dedication to make it right and take it to a whole new level.This is where we share all our ideas and bullcrap theories to make it happen.

    Although its a free country and free forum but I'd like to remind certain and significant retards not to spam/limit off-topic conversations and lastly not to over react to the ideas shared by others but try to be diplomatic and share your own.

    This topic will be serve the purpose of a "rough copy". When everything is decided by higher officials and is set they will be announced by them in new thread.:mellow:

    Anyways, have fun.

    So this is what i had in mind for the ranking system:

    1.Teams holding a title must participate in any tournament that is within the chain of ranking system tournament organizers.If they are unable to participate then they will be stripped form the title and it will be up for grabs.
    2.If there is a major change in the line up of any title holding team (2-4), then they will be stripped of the title and it will be up for grabs.
    3.Teams can challenge a title holding team any day without the involvement of any tournament whatsoever.
    4.Challenged team has the right to reject a challenge with or without any valid reason. (Challenges should be accepted to increase sportsmanship and the level of dota amongst teams and players.

    this is all i have in mind so far will update asaictom.

    in my opinion i agree wid sn4key regarding team change.. though in bangladesh there is no clan owner or manager the captain is the head, so if the team is formatted 2,3 even 4 members are changed still the teams rank will be carried by the captain of the team... and if the team captain decided to change the name of the team that will be his/her decision. and the points should be shifted to that team.. and i strongly agree wid storm-shadow's 4th point.. its a nice idea.. but u need to have some proof like a referee, replay of the full match and everyone should know abt the match earlier..
    thn there should be a fixed point system for every win and lost..

    NOW RELATING TO THE BEST GAMING CAFE DIGITAL GAMING ZONE, UTTARA IS UNDOUBTEDLY THE BEST GAMING CAFE IN BD. TILL NOW IT HAS THE HIGHEST PCS. NOT ONLY THAT ALL PCS ARE VERY HIGHLY CONFIGURED AND MOST OF THE GAMERS KNOW IT.. SO WHOEVER MAKE THIS POLL HE JUST MISSED THE NAME OF THE BEST GAMING CAFE OF BD IN BD'S BEST GAMING CAFE POLL.. THTS IT.....

    I agree, digital soft really is THE best cafe in bd at the moment.
    This is the sexiest signature in the world.

    This time, it's a strong contender to be literally that.

    as Centurion said Digital gaming zone is one of the best atm.
    well because it has upto date pcs and a lot of em whereas even MG and Xscape has upto date pcs but less in numbers.
    And for most of the gamers of BD Digital Gaming zone is rly far, because of the sad transportation system in BD we rarely get to see that cafe once in a year or 2 for the distance.
    Digital Gaming zone shud have a branch made in the middle of Dhaka
    I heard amit say that he knows the owned and the owner is from AL, how abt convincing him to have a cafe in heard of Dhaka city accessible for almost all the gamers of BD

    I guess this is not really about the cafe's, it only serves as a rough copy.

    I do not agree to Snakey's 'Captain keeps everything policy', not in our perspective..if the majority of any team changes, so should the team itself.

    Please understand, the purpose of the ranking system is not to give prize and honor to the professionals, but rather to create at least a few teams of semi-professional level.

    Lol arif once told that tony is an intellectual it's very true
    hm i also think that a captain isnt all about a team, what faisal suggested that maybe appropriate for other countries where the teams have sponsors or exposure but we hv to find out something suitable system for ourselves.

    Another thing galib bro mentioned that our aim to find out some semi-pro teams from the ranking system. The depth of ranking is very important in this case since we already know best 5 teams even before tourney. Like tony posted only first 3 names, but where is the names of other teams tony? In proper ranking system u must provide even the worst team's rank,right? (like bd has the last place in ICC test ranking)

    And yeah about my 4th point referee all that must thakte hobe and the total package would be awsome/legendary.

    The topic plays the main role on this thread and the poll is just meant to be answered, no explanation whatsoever is required for anyones opinion on which cafe they think is the best. Thus none of the parts of this thread is irrelevant.

    For those in confusion knowing which cafe is the best is important, then the organizers can understand where hosting the next tournament would be most enjoyed and appreciated by gamers.

    Please everyone read my first post, rules and regulations are CLEARLY noted down.

    About the 4 points that Tony mentioned earlier, according to him its right maybe but in my case i feel that a team is not free to challenge a team whenever they want, this is because it decreases the excitement of the tournament itself.

    About the ranking system we have not decided anything yet, when Galib bhai returns we shall have a meeting and decide what to do.

    Maybe we could call all the captains to decide the rules. If we are thinking for the good of Bangladesh Gaming then we have to stick to Tony's 2nd point, only then i think a semi/professional level of Gaming can be attained (just as what Galib Bhai mentioned)

    Now coming to the topic, gamers who play at the cafes nearest or suitable to them will vote for those cafes only, thats not what we need. We need a cafe that is suitable for organizing a tournament.

    The point is for example, if we host a tournament at Uttara Digital Gaming Zone, we would hardly find 1 more team other than K² participating from Uttara, whereas if we host the tourney at either Dhanmondi or Malibag we find atleast 4-5 nonprofessional teams attending which is good for the Dota community, i presume.

    Now what we need to decide is the place, that is either Dhanmondi or Malibag, whichever provides the highest number of non professional teams would be preferred. These are all my views, the rules will be refined shorty after a meeting is conducted. And the next tourney of the series will start soon so guys please start preparing.

    Good Luck on advance.

    Just Chill and KiLL!!
