How about adding some more bucks and going for Dell UltraSharp 2209WA 22" Widescreen Flat Panel @ 17,500/-

other features includes: IPS Panel(which makes it different from others, coz others are TN panel), 6ms Response time, viewing angel 178/178 and 1680x1050 resolution. These two are the only minus points of this monitor, jodi resolution ta boro kono factor na hoi taile ei monitor ta khubi bhalo hobe. Ar eita gaming er jonno o bhalo ekta solution, response time niye matha ghamayen na.

Well, you might want to look into the newer samsung C-PVA panels, notably samsung F2380. Similar viewing angles/colour reproduction compared to IPS panels and much better in terms of input lag compared to previous PVA panels. F2380 seems to almost zero input lag, but some ghosting is present (a non-issue in most cases though)

Also, E-IPS panels are cropping up, and are cheaper than H-IPS panels. Hence, they are coming down in price (ie. NEC EA231WMi)

As to the opening poster, Id suggest the viewsonic 22" 2263, or else the samsung P2250. If resolution isnt a concern, without a doubt go for the dell 2209WFP. For HDMI, use a DVI>HDMI cconverter, else wait till newer models come out, which will all natively support HDMI. HDCP is simple, have a look here

    only problem with F2380 is, that's 1080p. I'm looking for 1200p (16:10).
thought I don't know how much difference there will be yet, but all the reviews suggest me that (16:10) would be better for works with windows.

and thanks for this nice suggestion.

IMO there isnt that much of a difference between 1080p and 1200p. Yes, id prefer 16:10 too, but since 16:9 panels are cheaper to make the manufacturers are heading that way. Hence, the newer, cheap c-pva and e-ips panels seem to use 16:9

Also, you might be interested in the new dell SP2309W. TN panel but similar vertical resolution (2048x1152) of 16:10 panels while being 16:9

That's not always true! Dell 2209WA (e-ips) is 16:10, and the other eips ones by LG are mostly 16:10 based at a cheapo price.

I referred to the newer ones being released(see the previous line, but i edited my post to make it more understandable). Most E-IPS and C-PVA panels seem to be 16:9. Hell, most monitors seem to be 16:9 now, even Dell U2711 is 16:9 with a 2560x1440 resolution. Its not a trend I like, but it is true

nah, not that much interested in PVA TN Panels.
I have my eyes on DELL 2407WFP (PVA Panel 1200p). This is the previous version of 2408WFP. A store in IDB has this one. Price is 26,000tk. I'd be able to bargain it down to around 20,000tk since this is an old monitor and that shop has it for around 3years or so, no one is buying that. Only problem with this monitor is that this does not have any HDMI input.
BTW, is there any chance of price dropping of DELL U2410 or HP LP2475w??

Newer C-PVA panels from samsung, as I have said, have simiilar color reproduction, viewing angles and ghosting as E-IPS panels, which is an improvement compared to previous PVA panel types

Whats wrong with PVA though? Did u mean TN?

About that Dell, its a great monitor, and even if u can reduce it to 24k its great for that monitor, really. I thought 24" TN panels were 20k in BD, are u sure about the price of that monitor? So what if its old, it will beat the snot out of every TN panel there is in BD

edit: HP LP2475W is being replaced by the two HP models named ZR22w and ZR24w. the ZR24w should be cheaper than the LP2475W since it uses E-IPS rather than H-IPS, and its also 1200p(the ZR22w is 1080p). About the Dell, its not coming down in price anytime soon

Sccroll down in this page for the press release. About the specs, cant find the source now but its true, trust me

aah, thanks for all these nice infos.
and yeah, I meant TN Panels. Edited my post.
Actually that DELL 2407WFP has been on that shop for around 3years. Nobody bought that one because it was price 57,000tk when it arrived. They have couple of them on the store right now. That's why they are selling it for this cheap price. I didn't bargain yet. They asked me for 26,000tk.
If I can't convince my dad on getting an IPS Panel monitor, I think I'll go for this DELL 2407WFP. It's better than those newer C-PVA Panels from Samsung, right?
And I'll be keeping my eyes on newer HP IPS Panel Monitors too.
    seeing is believing..

WHat i thoughtthey are still selling them for 57k...they have that price tag still on....This is good news......if you can get it for 20k that would be really awsome...

Edit: just saw in anadtech review that it is a s-pva panel...so it might have input/processing lag......it has around 25-30ms lag compared to an CRT...
