Project Siena is now available on both desktops and tablets

Microsoft has just rolled out a new program codenamed
Project Siena that allows users to create their very own Windows 8.1 apps.

In just a few words, this is a user-friendly and straightforward interface that comes with easy to use options to insert images, buttons, videos, and other rich content, with the sole purpose of generating an application which can be then downloaded from the Store.

“Microsoft Project Siena (code name) is the beta release of a new technology for business experts, business analysts, consultants and other app imagineers. Now, without any programming, you can create powerful apps for the device-first and cloud-connected world, with the potential to transform today’s business processes,” the app description reads.

All apps created in Project Siena are based on HTML5 and JavaScript and can include SharePoint lists, Excel and Azure tables, and RSS feeds.
