    RD r u suggesting that you dont consider the warranty period of a product? even if you do it's one of your lesser priorities? the fact is i cant update my rig every now and then so i want it to be reliable and more warranty time makes it a bit risk proof. no point arguing on that.

    @holyslayer, u can give viewsonic a try, my cousins using it, 1920x1080, full hd, 2ms response time + 3 yrs warranty. samsung p2250 looks better[imo], except that considering warranty period viewsonic seem to be the wiser choice. good luck!

    ya ur point is r8..........but i said dat...coz avas said "there is no point buying a product which gives u 1 y warranty". but amar point holo...same category er product j ta amak quality provide korba ami oitai kinbo(even w/o warranty).
    well just say....mone tomak keu baire theke corsair er ram ane dilo.......so tumi ki oigula niba naki BD theke onno kono ram kinbe...??(since corsair 1 is bought from aboard consider dis W/O warranty)

    & don go for dis..."2243swx, 2233sw, 2243swx"........viewsonic 1 is far better then those...

    Default Re: Suggestions for an LCD please!

    For LCD or CRT I think 1year is not well enough as warranty period. As the Bangladeshi Warranty sucks if I were buying any LCD within this budget I will pick up the Samsung one... cause in these budget I am quite sure that I will not get a good FULL HD LCD so I will spend my money in which I have the faith.

    Although Akhon shob LCD bhua tobuo....
    My recommendation is - SAMSUNG P2250it's not so good. it's just good for the budget. I guarantee you that you will throw out any LCD after viewing LED panels. All the brands are heavily investing on LED panels that's why LCD panels have become bullshit. I mean you are going to throw your new LCD after 1.5 or 2 years anyway LOLZZ

    so get this and be happy for 2years (1year warranty)

    LED is a back-lighting technology that enhances the current generation of LCD TVs/Monitors with fluorescent back-lighting! Alas, LED is not a different panel, but it is the same LCD panel with a twist of efficiency, and brightness uniformity. On the whole, you can not in a 'generalized' way say that LCD panels are bullshit.

    Ya, I was a bit aggressive over there... sorry if I hurt you ha ha ha ha.

    LED looks promising to me and its not a different panel but it is a replacement of LCD panel I guess. whatever it is unless they are using TN panel we cannot expect good performance (although they are fast)

    I personally like S-PVA panels (although they are pricey and hard to be found in BD)

    check out it's viewing angles and contrast ratio accuracy and don't be fool with it's picture quality/size/price. (please see it live the model you would like to buy)

    I was a LG(CRT) user I faced some problems with the screen. :mellow:

    @crazy_gamer

    .....it never hurt me...it was just my habit of correcting technical errors.... lol....I 'nerd'.....
    S-PVA panels are the ultimate for static images that require delicate attention for photo editing.The cheapest one available in BD is the Dell 2408WFP. They are truly a graphic designers dream treat, but got color shifting problems when viewed from sides, and have noticeably slow response rates. I love the IPS panels since they are true all rounders, and are specially used in HDTVs.

    "check out it's viewing angles and contrast ratio accuracy and don't be fool with it's picture quality/size/price"

    Well, that's why I would recommend everyone to get the Dell 2209WA [1680 x 1050, 16:10, IPS panel] for 16,500TK, but people mostly care the least about panels, and have different requirements for example: HDMI for PS3, or full HD at low price, or s.e.x.y looks .

    @HolySlayer

    Based on your requirements, the Samsung P2250 or ViewSonic VX2260wm is good enough according to me. You may also even consider what others had to say with Viewsonic/LG iff the extra warranty can give you some peace.

    My honest opinion: I myself ditched the low priced- high resolution Samsung P2250 for the slightly high priced low resolution Dell 2209WA only for its IPS panel. You won't notice much difference between 720p, or 1080p unless you are on more than a 40inch HDTV. So, I think 1080p on a 22inch makes no sense at least to me.

    Well, different ppl have different needs, so if u still want 1080p at low costs with good warranty, Viewsonic VX2260WM is the one to go, CHEERS !

    Default Re: Suggestions for an LCD please!

    [quote=crazy_gamer;169879]Ya, I was a bit aggressive over there... sorry if I hurt you ha ha ha ha.

    LED looks promising to me and its not a different panel but it is a replacement of LCD panel I guess. whatever it is unless they are using TN panel we cannot expect good performance (although they are fast)

    I personally like S-PVA panels (although they are pricey and hard to be found in BD)

    @HolySlayer

    Based on your requirements, the Samsung P2250 is good enough according to me. You may also even consider what others had to say with Viewsonic/LG iff the extra warranty can give you some peace

    Well, different ppl have different needs, so if u still want 1080p at low costs, P2250 is the one to go! CHEERS !
    well what difference can exactly be noticed in the dell you bought when compared to the p2250?
