... that's according to EA, at least, as firm claims 75 per cent of 2009 football game sales in EU

Electronic Arts has claimed that it took 75 per cent of football games sales across Europe last year.

The firm's European boss Jens Uwe Intat said today that the franchise was "beating the heck" out of age-old rival Pro Evolution Soccer in Europe.

We somehow doubt Konami agree...

"We continue to beat the heck of Pro Evo and across Europe we're taking 75 per cent of the football space."

"FIFA was neck and neck with Modern Warfare 2 [in 2009] to be the best-selling game across Europe."
