With an initial playable demo due out on STEAM sometime in January, Astronaut: Moon, Mars and Beyond is another in an apparent trend of government-funded games (like America's Army). In fact, Astronaut is even borrowing America's Army-developer Virtual Heroes, as well as Wisdom Tools and Project Whitecard, to put this thing together.
The game is set in the year 2035, when Earth has a moon-base and a small colony on Mars. Little is known about the gameplay, but don't expect massive space battles or the ability to punch an alien in the face. Astronaut is likely to be more on the educational side of the edutainment fence, to the point where the developers hope to be able to offer course accreditation in the sciences through play.
As long as there is an option to pee in our suits, we will be happy.
