If you want the best performance at stock, then get the i7 860 since it has a more aggressive turbo mode (reaching speeds up to 3.46GHz). If you're planning to OC then you shouldn't pick anything other than the i7 920.

The i7 CPUs have a stock memory speed. For the i7-900s its 1066MHz (with the exception of i7-965 and i7-975). The i7-800s have a stock memory speed of 1333MHz. What this means is that no matter what your memory sticks are rated at, the i7 CPU will automatically adjust the clocks to either 1066 or 1333MHz. The real-world difference between the two is barely noticeable.

And yeah, it's best to use 3 memory sticks with the i7-900s.

blanka bro, either of them will perform the same if u do not OC. u r same like me, I need to upgrade my damn PC too. ok, I'll say we better concentrate more in gpu's.

I think, for us, the best will be -

    Intel Core i5 750 2.66GHz, 8MB L3 Cache = 16,500/-

    +

    GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3 (rev. 1.0) = 12,000/- or less.
I prefer this for USB 3.0, SATA 3.0 and SATA 6GB/s

ar ta charao ami GIGABYTE ke prefer kori. I trust them deeply.

but, Toms Hardware er ei topic ta poren -

ki jani dekhsilam mone portese na. bandwidth naki 5GB/s hoye jai ki korle ..... pore dekhen full topic ta. amar khub tired ar bore lagtese, tai porlam na.
