Default Help regarding Hard Disk Enclosure

    hello

I am planning to buy a hard disk enclosure for my 3.5 inch internal hard drive. Are those available on IDB bhaban? How much would it cost for USB 2.0 and usb 3.0 ones.

the power supply unit that came with this was pretty low end, it got busted after a month. i opened it up later and found out it came with lower rated stuffs, like the IN4007 diode(I don't even use this diodes for high current purpose), and the heatsink was pretty small.

one more thing is it didn't support all hard drives.

and the 160GB Samsung SATA2 7200rpm drive that i used died after a month, either it was samsung's fault or maybe this one's fault(it may have helped the drive to reach load unload cycle real quick)

anyway I heard Transcend enclosures are available at around 2.5k. that should be good.

yes I'm talking about the similar one. a case for the 3.5" HDD, inside it has a small circuit for converting usb to sata. You will get an adapter that converts 220V AC to 12V and 5V DC for powering up the hard drive.

atleast i can say, the one that costs 700BDT is not good.

At least your enclosure was 700tk I almost bought one for 400tk. I guess that one wouldn't even work for a week.
