Resident Evil 6 is 'brutally scary' - report
Is Capcom ready to reveal a 'back to roots' sequel at TGS?

A 'reliable insider' has said that Capcom's Resident Evil 6 will be 'brutally scary', taking the series back to its 'roots'.


An anonymous source has apparently told EGM that the series will "go back to its roots" with the new game, which they went on to say "will be, by far, the most gruesome Resident Evil game to date".

Resident Evil 6 is rumoured to be set for a reveal at the Tokyo Game Show in the next few days. A leaked slide (pictured) from what looks like a behind-closed-doors presentation suggests a reveal is planned for tomorrow - September 15.

Without giving away any real gameplay specifics, the source added: "A real emphasis is being placed on making the game brutally scary."

Yes. We like brutally scary.

Capcom has, unsurprisingly, brushed off requests for confirmation with the statement: "Capcom has not made any announcements [about Resident Evil 6] and does not comment on rumors."

We, however, will be keeping a keen eye on things.
