Default Fermi possibly delayed to March 2010

Every day I try to somehow snag a Fermi sample from one of the many companies we work with here at TweakTown. The problem is for the first time over the weekend we heard the 'M' word come out of a partners mouth in regards to the release. What's the 'M' word? March!

January seemed a pretty set date from most partners when it came to the release of the new NVIDIA based graphics card, the problem is though that for the first time we've now heard a February / March timeline. You can't help be feel worried that the time is slipping further and further away.
Every week that NVIDIA go past without a new high-end DX11 video card, it has to become ever so slightly faster than the HD 5870. If Fermi launched in November / December, people would've simply been happy with the green teams product coming out 5 - 10% faster than ATIs, if it comes out four to five months later though people are going to expect more performance than that though.
If you've been keep tracking of what's been going on when it comes to video cards over the past few years, you would know that something similar happened to ATI a while back. While they created a good, fast product, the delay when compared to the launch of NVIDIAs product meant that it simply lost the "WOW" factor that would've been generated it if was released earlier.
Hopefully March was only mentioned as a safety net due to the company feeling a bit stressed that NVIDIA continue to push back the release of Fermi, but either way it's a worry.

I really hope that's not true

March is a bit too late. I think we were all expecting a January release.

Lol, not quite. DX11 just got here, I'm pretty sure that there'll be a lot of milking around the next few DX11 titles.

    Not realy
ATI doesn't have any 5970 drivers yet. Only a beta driver is available in ATI site. OIta die Xfire enable hocche na, so tried using it on a single card configuration and the result is desastar. massive epic phile.
Crysis crashing even before the menue loads, Warhead e Massive shuttering... Fraps e FPS dekhae 50+ but shuttering er jonno game almost freezing most off the time. and FlightSim e only 5~8FPS.
This cards in my pc is now officially the biggest financial disaster I have ever put myself in. Feeling like a compete idot. PC tar tur khule box e bhore rekhe disi. am moving to U.S. asha kori ATI totodin e ekta official driver releas korbe, Untill then This PC of mine is nothing more then a worthless piece of stinking crap. Man I must be the biggest idot ever to put money on something like this so early.

But in my last post I was trying to say that I am seriously suspecting if fermi will ever be ready! If you observe nVidia's actions for quite a while now it smells really fishy and confusing. What the hell are they doing. And now if the rumer of this delay is true then I have to say this is realy a bad, I mean very very sign for nVidia fans. I am having a baaad feeling about it. Only time will tell the comple tale. lets see.

Ya laugh all you want. I bashafied my own a$$ this time... big time.
I have seen website posting online review article on CrossFireX with 2 5970... I tell you those are bold face liers... No freaking way 2 piece 5970 works in a system... benchmark kora to durer kotha... onek chesta kore CrossFire X enable korlam then Warhead run korailam and man... I don't even wanna talk about it. Unigin Heaven benchmark run korae FPS only around 48... thats the only two thing i could run on Xfire... tar pore are Xfire kaj kore na and I simply gave up, cuz I was really piessed. Why the Foxtrot on earth would ATI release a hardware that they didn't published any driver yet. And also those Review Sites... the ba$TarDs putting up fake charts and benchmark reports sayin that they did this and that blah blah... all lies... I even tried with catalyst 9.11 and guess what... during hardware detection at installation phase it doesn't even recognize any ATI hardware present in the system. Othocho web site e review martese je unra 9.11 die CrossfireX korse 5970... bulll$$hit.

Anyways, I switched back to D'WoMD for now and waiting for what the Foxtrot ATI does next. On top ATI completely cut off the supply of 5970. Mine are the only two piece in this country and it is not available in retail market. yet... I can smell something fishy going on with the whole 5970 business too... its not only the fermi....
