At present the 4890 has a lower price/performance ratio compared to the 4870. So my vote goes for the 4870 toxic.
Btw, when are you buying the card?

If ur major concern is DX11 then go for 5770. Otherwise go for 4890 OC. It will perform better.

    For secondary use: E2160 OC @2.2Ghz| Gigabyte 945GCMX| 1.5GB DDR2| Thermaltake 400w| Intel GMA 950

Ektu porei lok jon Guru3D,HardOCP, Toms er chart post kore porman korar chestha korbe konta better. So kon Card better sheta nie kisu bolbo na ami. I only want to know the point behind buying a 4870 at this moment if a 5770 costs the same???!! Anyone is welcome to explain please.

My suggestion buy the 5770 and don't even consider 4890... in fact don't even consider any 4XXX gen card. Review website er chart gula nie argument kora ek jinish ar practical experience is something else. So consider the budget and the features rather then the performance.

You do realise that the Sapphire 4890 "OC" version isn't actually factory OCed?

@streamyx: Is the 5770 even available in BD?

    Spot on!
Very true... at this moment it would not be wise to spend the money on 4890, it only promisses better performance but delivers only a little more which is not quite worth the extra cost over 4870. Don't get me wrong 4890 has a little bit more power over 4870 which you will not notice in most games but it will cost lot more then 4870 which is not worth for that small gain.

I mean Vapor-x edition. It has a nice cooler and can do 950Mhz/1.2Gmhz OC. That will give him a performance boost. Though 4870 price/performance wise better but if he have money than I surely vote for 4890. It ocs better than 4870.

Then it is a total waste of time talking about 4000 gen cards here. Cuz I can bet my sister (BTW I don't have any sister ) that 5000 gen will be very available in BD by that time.

Don't get me wrong 4890 has a little bit more power over 4870 which you will not notice in most games but it will cost lot more then 4870 which is not worth for that small gain.
agree wid streamyx bros point bt 4870 needs more power and it gets very hot in compare of 4890...in this circumstances i've to buy a better psu and xtra cooler...and overall it will cost nearer as 4890...and another thing if i've budget of buying a 4890..it'll better for me to wait some time till come of 5850...and put some xtra money to buy it...that is why i'm confused

Since when did GPU coolers become available in BD?
The 5850 will be massively overpriced (as always) when it gets here.

Plz let us know the full specification of your pc. Cpu, current gpu, mobo, ram, psu, monitor.

5770 is a bit slower in performance comparing with 4870 but it has many advanced features like DX11, SM 5, OpenGL 3.1. Whatever, I would suggest 5770.

Make it clear that whether you're buying it from BD or abroad.
A gamer can only be judged by his/her talent, not by his/her PC config.

Gigabyte is a very good brand. They will perform same as sapphire if the clock speed and memory speed same. And Gigabyte one remains cooler as it uses some nice features like 2oz copper pcb, solid capacitors....

@Zx || Ganza RaaZa As far as I know Smart didnt import 4870.
