You should get the asus 650 watt one if u dont sli. Or if you do should get the 750 watt one. Although it will not be powerful enough for 2 highend GPUs. And they are 80+ certified. If u consider quality. Toughpower ar asus same. Kintu asus er price kom. Murad9 bhai er shathe jogajog koren. Uni PSU guru.

    alright here goes:
if you are buying it from BD & your max budget is 10000, then go for my PSU: ThermalTake ToughPower 600W~48amps
it will handle 2*4870/2*280 fine...without a hitch, dont know about Fermi's requirements, so can comment on that

or if your can get it from abroad:
go for any 750-950W units from OCZ, Corsair, PC P&C, SS, TT...any good brand PSU maker as long as it is from a top-tier company, these companies pretty much make the most solid PSUs which are multi-GPU ready & so should make an excellent choice

as avas bhaiya said...contact Murrad bhaiya, he's really a PSU guru & can help you out

yup you can CF 4850s & 4870s but do take care on the mems...if one is smaller the other will be limited for it

motherboards that are ideal for CF would be
if you are on a C2D/C2Q>>> your options would be
P45 but is limited to 8X/8X...but that is not a big deal
X38/X48 which does full X16/X16 & also OCs like a champ

P55 if you opt for the i5 but are again limited to 8X/8X but also does SLI
X58 if you want the KING i7/i9 does both SLI/CF at full 16X/16X

I suggest going for the i7 route with the SATA-III & USB-III options which some of the mobo vendors are making & also a good brand 750W unit from the pros

    all done

offtopic first, so I can SLI two GTX 275's even if they are from EVGA and XFX. ar, bd te kobe Sata-III ar USB-III er X58 mobo ashbe ?

ontopic: ami hoilam ekta real life noob PSU er dike.

just wondering, ATI/AMD, GIGABYTE ar XFX recommend kore ekta 600W (with four 2x3 pin connector) certified PSU 2x 5870 er CF er jonno. GIGABYTE 550W recommend kore 2x GTX 285 2GB OC er SLI er jonno. Abar XFX recommend kore 680w (if running Core i7 3.2GHz) for 2x GTX 275 in SLI. Then, why Asus 750w will not be enough for CF/SLI these gpu's ? Dipanzan vai, avas911 vai, Murad vai explain koren plz.

and dipanzan vai, why r u strongly suggesting TT ToughPower 600w ? I personally prefer Asus 750w for the price and what is the difference between Asus and thermaltake ? er cheye better TT psu konta ase ? Price koto ? Amio to jani je Asus ar TT er modhdhe quality te kono difference nai (avas vai said also). Explain these in detail, plz.

    Ar, murad vai, help me.

    Read this:
    http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews.p...750w_atx_psu/5

Also, I don't get why you're so persistent on getting an SLI config. No config can last for more than 3yrs (even if it's a beast now).

Not a very good idea. By then your Fermi would probably be "behind the times", that is, the next gen cards would already be out. I suggest you buy just a single Fermi and stick with it until it dies or you feel the need to upgrade.

edit: My vote goes for a TT PSU, like a 600W or higher. The reason I'm not recommending ASUS is that they're new to this PSU business, a company like TT has been manufacturing PSUs for a long time now. In the long run, a TT would give you better service. If you're buying it from abroad then I suggest looking into the top tier brands as dipanzan suggested.

the TT ToughPower series are of a very quality & are rated among top-tier PSUs, thats why I suggest getting form the TT ToughPower line & Red Devil is with me on this
& I also own this PSU, it's just marvelous...no voltage spikes...tremendous smooth output & not very noisy

you can also get the ASUS 750W, but I dont know how it is ...so I cant commend on that
btw if you are really gonna hold that system for a long period of time...then I suggest going above your budget & get the TT ToughPower 750W

~it will handle the most even the most demanding systems...np
    by demanding I mean 4870X2 CF/GTX295 SLI + i7 + Highend mobo & other peripherals

Now about your Fermi decision, I would go against that...get the Fermi flagship when it's released...or if Fermi doesn't live up to its promises, then get the ATI HD5870 or 59xx series...& THAT WILL ATLEAST HOLD YOU FOR 2yrs.

now good luck Reja bhaiya...btw time you guys are done upgrading your rigs...
I will upgrade mine in 2yrs+ time & then I will pwn you all
    xD

A 750W PSU is overkill for a single GPU system. Get the 700W or 650W, both would be enough.
