Thread: PC Buying Help, 80K

    Default PC Buying Help, 80K

Hi. I'm currently running this bullshit configuration -
    • CPU - AMD 8 Core CPU, FX-something
    • ATI Radeon 5770 1GB
    • Gigabyte Mobo
    • SpaceCraft I casing
    • LightPower 450wt Power Supply.
    • 4x4 1600 DDR3 RAM (Normal, not gaming ones)
    • 22 Inch LED.
    • OCZ SSD 128 GB (And 3x1TB HDD, but i don't think that really counts)

I mostly use PC for -
    • 3D Rendering using Blender
    • Make Games using Unity3D
    • Play Games in high settings (Rome II, Crysis 3 etc..)

Trouble with my current setup is CPU heats up like hell (around 90C in HWMon) when I do some normal rendering in Blender. And after 30 mins, PC powers off. Same thing happens for Rome II, only temperature reached 127C.
Most games run okay (Including GTAIV) with moderately high settings but sometimes lags.
Another thing is the cable management of my casing is really f-ed up.

So, I'd really like to buy a total new configuration (excluding the storage and monitor).

My Budget is BDT 80K. I can push it to 100K if it really is worth it.

I'm focusing "Stability" rather than overclocking. Because, I actually live off my PC (I outsource on 3D Game and Content Design). Gaming is secondary but still very important.

So, please suggest a new setup that I can afford. I don't want to upgrade PC in 1 year at least again and so I really could use helps from gurus like you guys.

    Thanks a lot.

    off topic: are you soummo?

    - - - Updated - - -

on topic: i agree with sensei that processor mobo should be 4770+85chipset.

actually i am no expert with rendering/making games/unity.... but i think overclocked ram will help you in rendering. and you need much more ram than 4x2gb whats ur ram brand? get additional 16gb of 1600mhz ram along with current 8gb. i dont think u gonna need gaming ram... little oc would be enough.

gpu if u were a gamer would have suggested r9 280x instead of 770. but amd is not as good as nvidia when it comes to this type of things u doing. so i suggest to wait 1 month. coz 2weeks ago internationally 770 price reduced from 410$ to 330$. so within 1 month or 2 u will save ~7k taka.

what is your monitor? color is very important in this sector. you know better than i know

    - - - Updated - - -

i see you have a big budget- so get a thermaltek toughpower.

actually 280x and 770 same performance in bf3/crysis3. bf4 is an amd sponsored game so 280x has huge advantage over 770 in bf4.
    http://www.guru3d.com/articles_categ...ideocards.html
i recommend gamers to buy 280x bcoz 280x is 300$ and 770 was 400$ 2weeks ago.. though it just reduced to 330$.

corsair hx series is good... but i am a fan of tt toughpower series(but i dislike tr2 xt or smart). but note that i dont know corsair or tt warranty policy.

ram: whats the brand? i think 16gb 1600mhz is enough.

offtopic: sorry for using nicknames in forum

    - I could do a bit market research about warranty after the strike.

    - Don't worry about it dude. You were guessing, not using.

P.S. Please give your opinion on my question on overheating. It is really a big factor for me right now.

temperature... 120C is horrible... i wonder how you are still alive i think your cooler isnt in proper place... u have a stock cooler right? make sure its tight... and buy a thermal paste at 1k and use it on the heatsink... also manually increase the fan speed of processor... though temp eto barle speed emnitei 90% hoye jawar kotha

PS: i just came to know u are interested in dual-gpu. almost all of the games now fully support sli or xfirex.
but i dont know if sli/xfirex is good in terms of rendering or unity3d. if it is then buy 2x760 at 25kx2=50k and your pc will be victorious.

    Intel Core i7 4770

    Intel H87 chipset (full-ATX maybe)

AMD Radeon HD 7970 Ghz Edition/ R9 280X - IDK about game developing but if it demands single precision/ double precision calculation or sh¡t, then AMD's the way to go. If not then the Geforce GTX 770.

Corsair or Thermaltake 650W Power Supply

Cooler Master 690 II or HAF 912 or Corsair 300R

    Re-use the others.

    - - - Updated - - -

And which RAID are you using? You should always take caution for back-up. Three internals might create much heat. So make room for extra cooling.
My probable next build: Qisan MagicForce 68 (Outemu switch) / Teamwolf Zhuque+ 87 TKL (Outemu) / Monoprice Select series full size (Outemu/Gateron) / Drevo Gramr 84 TKL (Outemu) • Logitech G102 Prodigy • Deepcool Dukase V3 / Thermaltake Versa U21 • Superlux HD 681 • Creative Sound Blaster E1 • LG 22MP68VQ • SteelSeries QcK • Generic executive chair • others TBA

djrock please don't bother me. You are in my ignore list so I don't have to see literal poop.

toughpower has lot of failure issues and also gives one year warranty wheres the corsair hx series are well build and have 3 years warranty so imo corsair one is better in performance and reliability

the asus gtx 770 2gb version 4gb version may cost more than 50k + not sure though

i was talking about this one ASUS B85M-E

why you need to overclock rams? even in stock they are more than enough

the gs2 has a very good airflow anyway if you have more budget for this then get the corsair 300R

    About temperature Issue :

    1. clean the cooler, use a new thermal paste, put the cooler properly then check again.
    2. my friend bought a Faulty FX-8150, his CPU also crossed 94 degree at zero load. after taking back to UCC they replaced the CPU now its running nicely with stock cooler. only problem is a bit noisy(AMD's stock fan's problem)

and if u want a new configuration

    1. CPU Intel Core i7 4770k

    why k?

I myself use 3Dsmax, sketch up for rendering, and sometimes u know when the thing is very complex with glass materials lights... it takes a lot of time... u can save a good amount of time if u OC ur CPU. I have tested that on my system, pushing my 3.4GHz to 4.2GHz game a good heads up.

    2. Board Z87 Gigabyte/MSI gaming

    why not B85?

I can see, someone here suggested Asus B85M E. look at the board and specially the POWER PHASE http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/B85ME/
    a 4 pin ATX with a maybe a 2/3 phase power!

Now if u render a lot that means the CPU will stay on full load for hours after hours. So I will suggest a Mobo with better power phase, atleast heat sink expected. and for k series CPU u will need a good Overclockable mobo.

    3. RAM get memory with good timing and atleast 1600MHz or 1866MHz, rendering apps get good leverage from higher bandwidth RAM.

    4. You already have a SSD

    5. The Rest is your choice.

^please suggest him a specific (gaming) mobo at 10k-20k. he prefers binary logic or onix. so try suggesting msi or gigabyte mobo.
is there any military class component intel mobo in BD? i saw some great amd mobo in pc carnival.

he has 4x4gb 1600mhz ram... is 16gb enough or 32 gb better? will 2100mhz ram will help him reducing rendering time??

suggest him cooler within 7-15k... i'm noob at cooler. but i think i saw a water cooler in ucc 2months ago whats the price?

    MSI Z87 G45 Gaming 16K

    Gigabyte Z87 D3H 16K

    Gigabyte G1 Sniper M5 23K

    As budget is 10k-20k

    16GB would be enough.
2133MHz is a bit high... that much is not needed.

I would personally suggest the MSI Z87 G45 Gaming or The Gigabyte Z87M D3H

Both Have Decent Power Delivery circuit with heatsink and fed by 4+4pin 12V EPS connector.

Enough SATA6Gbps ports USB 3.0 Ports

    Support for good memory

    MSI board has Killer LAN

i7 4770k paired with any of this mobo will do

    http://www.ucc-bd.com/water-3-0-pro-...ng-system.html

it can easily fight with the H100i
