    Default Suggestion for a Desktop

    My current Desktop configuration:

    Intel E7500 - Asus p5kpl-AM G31 - DDR2 (800 BUS) 2X2 GB - TT 420 W - HDD 80 GB (IDE) + 400 GB - Gigabyte 5670

Now I would like to get a new one. I am confused which one I should get AMD or Intel.

My plan is simple: Processore + Mainboard + RAM + PSU

    Budget within 30k

    Please give a suggestion ASAP.

After buying new system I will sell my old system (without casing)

AMD Processors are also good but in terms of performance Intel is faster. though AMD is cheap.

You have a 5670 Graphics card already? that's pretty low if you think about high end games. What's your monitor's resolution?

Well, I am not interested much on gaming recent days. May be later. Now I have decided to take Intel core i5 3470 + Gigabyte B75-D3H and RAM 4GB

Now give me idea about good reliable PSU.

Corsair/Thermaltake/Cooler master. take any one of these.

Intel gets good leverage from Dual Channel memory if u work with high bandwidth demanded applications

anyway if u don't want 8GB right now u can just buy the 4th generation i5.

    just get an i5 4570 3.2GHz 17K
    gigabyte B85M D3H 8K
    4GB 1600MHz 1.5V 9-9-9-24 RAM 3.3K
    Corsair 450W 3.4K

Your power supply will be enough the only problem is this board has a 4+4 pin CPU connector which ur power supply does not have. check if u can find any converter

Avoid team elite/apacer/transcend at any cost. Crappiest timing i've ever seen. Buy Corsair/Avexir/Twinmos rams.

    Capacitor aging.
    Backdated revision.
    Poor per rail amperage.
    Without EPS.

    - - - Updated - - -

*** But the TR2s with the rev 2.31 or above are good. I myself using one.

capacitor aging : good power supply comes with capacitor rated at 105degree Centigrade and as most PSU wont run at this temperature no need to worry much about that

Backdated : so? if it serves the purpose where is the point of throwing it away? the system we are talking about here won't consume more so why buying a new PSU if the budget is limited?

Poor per rail amperage : 84W TDP CPU and less than 65W TDP GPU, PSU should be enough for running it

EPS : mainly server graded system/system with higher consumption normal desktops dont need that thing.

That Tr2 420w was released in 2007. So, that is a minimum 6-7 years old psu. You've gone nuts bro, you've gone nuts.
