Default Need advice about a Headphone under $30 and an Earphone under $15

Guys, I need suggestions about a headphone under $30 and an earphone under $15.
Used for: General purpose like watching movies or listening to some music.
I previously used a Sennheiser HD201 but for some reason the left side just stopped working recently.
It will also be really helpful if you could provide some amazon or newegg links. Thanks.

I heard that the HTF600 is pretty good at that price but I never heard of Sound Magic before. How good are they? And are they better than the Philips SHE3590?

Koss PortaPro(highly recommend it for your purpose), Monoprice 108323, Sennheiser HD 419. For IEM I'd recommend you to get the MEElectronics M6, goes about $19 in amazon. Currently using this and can definitely say that the extra $4 will be well spent

Its just that the PortaPro looks so.... weird. I don't think I'll find it very comfortable. Between the HD 419 and the HTF 600 which one do you think will be better suited to my purposes? As for the IEM, its actually for my sister. She doesn't really want to spend so much and she's already going over her budget (She wanted to get the samsung one's you get with a galaxy s4). I'll see if I can get any M6 on sale but any other suggestions around the $15 price range?

Yeah they're pretty good but sadly way over my budget. I think the cheapest one (UE 350) is like $40 .

A n00b suggestion: ear-buds: SONY MDR-PQ5 PiiQ. Saw 'em at Sony Bashundhara outlet. They're like 1.5k or something.
My probable next build: Qisan MagicForce 68 (Outemu switch) / Teamwolf Zhuque+ 87 TKL (Outemu) / Monoprice Select series full size (Outemu/Gateron) / Drevo Gramr 84 TKL (Outemu) • Logitech G102 Prodigy • Deepcool Dukase V3 / Thermaltake Versa U21 • Superlux HD 681 • Creative Sound Blaster E1 • LG 22MP68VQ • SteelSeries QcK • Generic executive chair • others TBA

djrock please don't bother me. You are in my ignore list so I don't have to see literal poop.

Nah, Portapro is a classic. Got a unique sound signature of its own. Comfy enough according to the reviews. It looks 'weird' because its portable. About the HD 419 and HTF 600 you should read/watch some reviews to find out which one is best suited for you. I think they have different sound signature. About the IEM, I see nobody suggested the Monoprice 8320 yet. These are quite popular in $10-$20 range too.

I was here to post something on the morning but then saw Areek bro's post. Go for the HTF600 and ES18. I'm using HTF600 myself and SoundMagic E10. ES18 uses the same drivers as E10. And E10 is a very good IEM.

For alternatives, you can look into JVC S400 and the monoprice, Meelec M6 or the Phillips. I used the monoprice and the M6. I'd still go for the ES18.

I heard that the HTF600 is pretty good at that price but I never heard of Sound Magic before. How good are they? And are they better than the Philips SHE3590?
Soundmagic produces the best bang for buck earphones IMO. Their E10 & E30 IEMs are best for the price. I had an E10(35$) & now have an E30(40$). Even though I am yet to listen to the ES18, if the sound signature matches E10 upto 80% then it's a damn good deal.

But one more suggestion that I would give is to check the Monoprice 8320 bass enhancing headphones. The clearest & in your face type of sound for 8-9$ is amazing. But not all would like that much forward sound. I would rate the 8320 below the E30 but no idea how it compares to the ES18.

Also, no idea about the philips, so I would recommend getting advice from someone who has used it. But the reviews are great for all these IEMs.

& about HTF600, it is really good for the price, if you like soundstage, bass & clear sound although a bit recessed mids. After 40-50hrs of burn-in, these sound amazing for the price. & Koss portapro is also a great option for the price. Another headphone to look for is Superlux HD668B. I haven't listened to it, but has quite high ratings.

OP, don't know if you bought the IEM or not, but the m6 is going for $12.98 in amazon atm(http://www.amazon.com/MEElectronics-.../dp/B0038W0K2U). Get this asap if you didn't get one already.
