    Default DotA League

Hello everyone. For many days, we all have been thinking about a DotA league. It will start in an amature level, but hopefully, will quickly move on to semi-proffessional and Proffessional level.

I have thought about the following rules, regulations and format for the league. Please feel FREE to comment and suggest.

    1. The league will have 12 teams.
    2. Each team will have a 'home gorund' (game cafe).
    3. Each team will play all the other teams twice, once at 'home', the other at 'away'. A whole week will be given to the teams to have the 2 matches.
    4. One home match will consist of 2 -XL mode games.
    5. 1 point to be awarded for winning each game. So in a a full match between 2 teams (home and away), 4 points will be awarded in total.
    6. Each team can register 5 to 8 players. There will be a 50 taka registration fee for each player.
    7. A player will be bound to his team for the present league, but can change team at the end of the league.
    8. BG will nominate 2 referees for a full match. Any 1 of them will have to be the official referee for that match.
    9. The home team will have to update the result in the site and upload the replay as well.
    10. All teams are encouraged to find their own sponsors for the league. BG will also try to arrange for sponsors for them.
    11. The map for the tournament will be 6.52, until 6.52b comes out, then it will be 6.52b.
    12. The league will start on 18th may. Registration starts from tomorrow.
    13. Teams will have to pay for their own playing time.
    14. A team giving walkover will result in an automatic loss and a 5 point penalty. The other team will get winner's point.

    Stay tuned!!

i think dis is a great idea....but da SHADOW PLAY (SP) clan members shud make seperate teams....or else dey'll keep winning and most of da players will slowly loose dier interest in making teams. dere r all star players in da SP clan. nothing personal against da SP clan....all of u r my gud pals.....i just think da team members shud think abt dis. i'm sure none of da SP clan members rnt playing for da money. i also think dat dis will give da other players a chance to improve and get da encouragement to play and make new teams. wat i'm saying is....y not spread ur wisdom to other players....make gud team co-ordination with dem...teach dem team play. da SP clan has perfected dier game play....no other team has! i'm not saying dey shud break dier team up.....SP will always be a team....when dere's a big tournament. SP basically is a complete dream team....imba carry, imba supporters, imba initiation, imba kser(masterpiece ofcourse).....and last but not least....imba leading!!! so y not split up for a while and spread ur wisdom to da other players who actually wants to learn and improve?.....by teaming up wit dem. SP has won most of dier matches till date....and dey lost sum....but still no team matches up to dier standard!! maybe sum of u guys from SP mite take dis otherwise....but dis just comes as a suggestion....and u guys know me personally and also as a player....dun take dis otherwise....ciao!!!

Our plan is to start off by the first week of MAY!!..Yes, pretty soon, but we have to start early as there are many things that are needed to be done this year. We are going to out do ourselves.

I would love to have input about the rules that I posted...

About SP, my personal feeling is that, if I get a good (not imba) set of players in my team, who will follow their leaders call no matter what, I can give them a run for their money. This is actually what keeps me ticking as a DotA player..

Wow, Farhan's first post. We should get things underway, and Galib Bhai is it gonna start at 3rd May? We got work to do if it is.. And the patch will be 49c I think. Our last tournament games were pretty good because of the patch. What do you say Galib Bhai?

I would like it to be in 6.51...I don's see any demons in the patch and we are playing in it for quite some time. And the changes that were made are here to stay...

    What are other's thoughts?

And PD, can you drop by today or tomorrow?

Well!! Farhan.. We are not going to break our team at any cost, we are not an imba team, all teams can be defeated, we have lost games previously there are always counters to every moves in DOTA. we have lost against u guys in the DGL tournament semis don't u remember, u guys got a different strategy and we lost as easy as it. We are'nt as imba as VP, MYM, XcN or KS we are just a mere team in BD. I guess I always help everyone who asks me for help in DOTA, I try to create teams, teach them strategy, help with their heroes and combos, I think u know that I do this in assault. I have encouraged many teams too, I have helped each and every player of lvl6 with their heroes and combos u can ask them if u want, just like their teammate. If u ask me what to do i would say each and every player to get serious play at least 2 games a day (without joking), play one hero, master it then go on to the next, then make combos with the set of heroes, then team coordination will improve with team games == GG!! ALL WINS!! nothing personal to any one (PLEASE DONT MIND IF ANYTHING MEANS OFFENSIVE TO ANY1!!) Neways WELCOME TO BANGLA GAMER FARHAN.. Looking forward to see more posts from u

Galib bhai, Tamim i guess 6.48b is the most stable map till now. Please let us know the map so that we can practise.

OH!!! BTW GALIB BHAI one of ur points was : All teams are encouraged to find their own sponsors for the league. BG will also try to arrange for sponsors for them. Will u arrange sponsors for us, if so what kind of sponsorship will they provide.

well. ghalib bhai u cant host on 6.51 as it is not the official map for tournaments u could host in 6.49c or 6.48b as 6.49c is quite ok but 6.50 i ddont is a good idiea at all .. i would like to say that hosting in 6.48b would b the best and if necessary host in 6.49c after that is not a very good idea .
keeping in mind farhans 1st post , lol . Farhan if u think we together is discouraging bd dota gamers for the future then i think u r wrong . if we can do it others can too . we werent born legends either , my father wasnt a dota player that he passed me his secrets of dota . wat we are , are because of our hard-work, sacrifice , respect for our team mates , and the spirit to take bd forward in this field . I think if we break our team the dota will certainly fall in bd , but if we keep going like this certainly , there will b rivals and rivals are very important without rivals we cant improve and if we dont improve we r not gonno make it to the biggest dota tournament of the world!!!
farhan dnt b angry this is just a view of our team , maybe there will a lot of players supporting ur thoughts .
but since this is our team our fate , our future , y not leeave it to the pros !!!

Wolf, Faisal, take it easy. I think he was only kidding.

Sure thing, Galib Bhai, I can drop by sometime. Lots of work to be done. And I too think that 6.49c should be played. People haven't played any team games/tournaments in 6.51. Minor changes may come about yet regarding the Dagger. The dagger is disabled by Radiance now and also by casting of spells like Fatal Bonds, Mana Leak, etc regardless of whether the damage has been inflicted. Also, another thing that might be changed is the fact that the Dagger now is disabled before the damage has been taken. If a Stormbolt has been cast at you, you wouldn't even have the luxury of dodging it by blinking, as the dagger would have gone straight into cooldown right after the cast.

Besides we do not yet know whether 6.52/6.53 will be selected as the stable version. As professional teams are practicing now with 6.48b, the latter versions may not be selected for this years international tournaments like WCG Asia or ESWC. This thing should also be brought into consideration. I think we should try to keep us at par with the worldwide DotA scene.

Feedbacks please. (and I did not re-test a lot of these things that I mentioned concerning the dagger, but I am 95% certain about them.)

(and I did not re-test a lot of these things that I mentioned concerning the dagger, but I am 95% certain about them.)
there are no major bugs discovered in 6.51 till now. the changes are here to stay.

look at the changelog of 6.52 so far:

    • Continued work on Anti Pooling System and Item Display
    • Sharp Filesize Increase (0.42MB)
    • Lergas The Vile/Secret Shop in Sentinel Base [next to Recipe Shop 1]
    • Music
    • Buriza Recipe decreased from 1250 to 1000
    • Sange and Yasha Recipe decreased from 1000 to 900
    • Sange Recipe increased from 600 to 900
    • Yasha Recipe increased from 600 to 900
    • Targeting cross-hair above target when channelling Sniper's Assassinate (from a potentialed cosmetic suggestion on the forum)
    • Timer above target when channelling Alcehmist's Unstable Concoction
    • Ultimate orb shifted to Sena the Accessorizer's shop
    • Teleporting to a building (using a TP scroll) now shows a white ping-type notification on the minimap for your allies.
    • Anti-Pooling system
    • New Item Layouts Minor Bugs fixed
    • Loading screen will look like v6.51's, but you will see differently in the top right corner when the game loads.
    • Recipe items can be purchased with a full inventory.
    • Power Treads color change depending on selected attribute (Agi: Red, Str: Green, Int: Blue).
    • Begun separating items' effects (what it gives [e.g. +5 strength]) from their stories.
    • New Format:
Purchase Blade of Alcracity - 1000
      O 1000
      Gives:
      +10 Agility
A long blade imbued with time magic.

      Not completed for every item!
6.52 would have been released one/two weeks before if not for a major fatal error related to the new things introduced (possibly Anti-Pooling).

If Ice wanted to fix the "problems" you mention, he'd have done that by now. so the "problems" are also here to stay, it seems.

I think we should wait till 6.52 is released. It will clearly tell us what changes are going to come.

We have to wait it seems. here's a direct quote from Ice himself:

The plan is to have a new stable version soon, probably 6.52b.
