@ Red Devil Bro, original bluray movie Dhakae kun shop e pawa jaai? Jodio Bluray naam diya bechtase (originally they are not Bluray disk-bluray contains 25-50 GB, whilst that DVD 9 stuffs are DVD DL with 8.5 GB Space) kintu, as they are ripped off from 1080P or 720P encoded movies, quality is better than traditional DVD s when I watch 'em on my 32 inch HD TV using the HDMI cables. @xcross, bro, you do not need a bluray player to gear up that .mkv files. If you have quick time player/player that plays .mkv files smoothly, you can download 'em from inetrnet and watch 'em on your PC.
I go to hd-trailers.net. They let us download .mkv movie trailer with 30 seconds to 2/3 minutes time with huge amount of space (200-250 MB in size), the quality is awsome on PS 3, or on the PC using the DVI-D connection.
But then again, if you want to watch the movie in a BD Disk in a Bluray player (a little less work out) on HD screen, then you need it.

Another thing to say, a somewhat good encoded DVD ( at 720x576 resolution) UPSCALED to 1080p in any Philips/Other HDMI capable video player is really cool, and the difference is lil'.

That sed, if the BD Combo drives become more and more available and so do the Bluray burners, it is soon to see the real Bluray movies (no DVD 9 encoding) in real BD ROMs, but price will obviously be higher at first.

use CCCP with Media Player Classic (dont mix up with Windows Media Player).. thats the best way to play mkv files..

No, I already have around 100GBs (or more then that) amount of 1080p Blu-Ray rips.. all of them are in matroska container format and encoded with h264 codec..

i definitely need a blu-ray player to get the real raw blu-ray experience.
    i haven't experienced it yet..
i have tons (around 1TBs) of DVDrips in mkv format encoded with x264 AVC.. but when i played the RAW DVD9 version of them, i saw a BIG DIFFERENCE.. that's why i am now eager to play RAW blu-rays and see the quality..

Yeah, seriously. I use Quicktime Pro 7.5 on my PC and it causes no stuttering with decent level of saturation to display the .mkv files on PC Monitor.

use CCCP with Media Player Classic (dont mix up with Windows Media Player).. thats the best way to play mkv files..
I use media player classic for ages and I praise it for playing all big major codecs, however it's all come down to personal preferences on which player you choose to play videos. Rests is assured I am not unaware of the way you told me to gear the mkv files, which may be supposed as the best, but somehow I prefer Quicktime over MPC, eta bole bojhano jaabe naa, jar chokh je rokom.

I watch RAW DVD9s on my HD TV using the HDMI Connection. I should have told the difference is lil' in HD TVs, in PC the difference is obviously ektu beshi chokhe porar moto. 1080P toh Razor sharp video with great saturation video dekhae, seikhane otake MPEG-2 VOB te compress korle difference toh hobei.

Back to the topic, at rony, Ami Lite-On er Bluray ROM anek agei IDB te dekhsi, but its good to see more combo bluray rom arrival.
