- This is today's Bing homepage
Microsoft celebrates Halloween with a very special Bing homepage that’s based on a montage of scenes from horror films.
The company is thus asking visitors to discount the six hiding horror movies by simply clicking on some elements shown in the background and triggering not only a “scary” visual effect, but also some pretty awkward sound effects.
Not that we’re trying to ruin your horror movie investigation on Bing’s homepage, but the six hiding titles are the following: “Psycho” (1960), “Poltergeist” (1982), “Friday the 13th” (film series), “The Shining” (1980), “Halloween” (1978 film), and “The Amityville Horror” (1979).
The homepage also displays dedicated Twitter and Facebook buttons to call for friends to take the challenge, so Halloween seems to be just the right moment for Microsoft to promote the social side of its search engine.
