    Default SATA Cables

I have a Gigabyte H61M motherboard - http://www.gigabyte.com/products/pro...px?pid=3970#ov. Now the problem is my GPU is blocking the SATA ports.
There are 4 sata ports out of which I can use 2 now with the help of right-angled sata cables, but the other 2 are still unusable. I need another free port for a HDD. I guess the other 2 (or atleast 1 of the other 2) can be used if I get a LEFT-angled sata cable.

Is there anyplace where I can get a left angled sata cable? Or do you guys have any other solution other than buying a new Mobo? (I don't have the money to buy a new one now )

yes I am actually using 2 of the ports using the L shaped cable, but those are RIGHT-angled. For using any of the other two I need a similar L shaped cable but it has to be LEFT-angled. The right angled ones won't fit into it.

as far as i know both type of cables are available(not sure abt our country). although my gigabyte board uses side facing sata port which never gave me any pera.

u can look for this type at the accessories shop.

or u can buy a PCI express x1 to SATA card. guess ur lower x1 port is free

I know both types are available and I'm also not sure about whether it's available here or not. Any idea on the price of the PCIx1 to SATA card?

    And Thanks man.

What is wrong with the people giving advice nowadays. Of course you can find SATA cables of all sorts anywhere.

I hope so. I searched in a hardware shop nearby and I had a really tough time making them understand what's a left-angled sata cable.

I think this is what I need.
