frnds .. looks like infinity wards decided to release pc version at 10th nov. bcz of a huge petition frm pc gamers ..
but no more dedicated servers
Users have already started a petition for dedicated servers in Modern Warfare 2. More than 50000 people have already signed this petition. Another petition that has been started directly in the Infinity Ward forum has been removed by the moderation. According to media reports the forums of the Modern Warfare 2 developer is in chaos already.
Nevertheless the petitions are unlikely to be successful since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will already be released on November 10, 2009. Nevertheless one might ask why Infinity Ward did wait so long before releasing this piece of information. There are already rumors that people in charge feared a negative impact on the pre-order business or wanted to prevent endless discussions before the game is finally released.source : http://www.pcgameshardware.com/aid,6...-or-mods/News/Instead of giving gamers the chance to create a dedicated server with individual rules, map rotations and mods, the developers decided to use the matchmaking application called IWNet. With this tool Infinity Wards wants to make sure that players with equal abilities are assigned to the same games. So called Private Matches are said to be allowed, but customization is still a big secret. Mod tools for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will not be available at first.
What it could mean to PC gamers if Modern Warfare 2 comes without dedicated servers has been summed up by the website Dotdosh. We listed the most important points:
• Matchmaking issues (players can't choose servers freely anymore)
• Higher latencies (the player himself is the server)
• No more big games (because of high latencies and automatic matchmaking)
• More cheating (VAC does not have a good reputation)
• No more user created mods
• Map Packs and DLC will probably be charged
• No clan servers
so wht do u think guys ? .. :S
