Default Need advice!!!! ac cpu cooler / new processor

    my current PC is

Processor : Intel Pentium D 3.2 Ghz [Dual Core]
    Ram: Trancend 2GB 667M Bus
    MoBo: Gigabyte 945 S3C [upto Core 2 Due Processor/667M ram 2 Slots]
HDD: 300GB Samsung Sata + 80 GB Hitachi
    Gfx : Xfx Geforce 8600GT GDDR3
    Monitor: Greatwall 19" wide. 1440*900

    ::roblem is
My processor get too hot and slow new coming games[i think]. i.e NFS SHIFT, BATMAN AA, XMEN Wlov etc.
Game runs smoothly like 30-60 FPS but after 10-20 Mins FPS decreases to 15-25

MY PSU is okey with my gfx card. its Normal ATX 450 W psu.

    so i think i have 2 way.

    a. buy a AC cooler for 2-3K [i dunno if it is compatible with normal psu]
    b. sell the old pc [2007] and buy
    Intel DC e5200+ Gigabyte G31 S3L +2GB DDR2 800M Ram which will cost 5000+3800+2000= 10800 TK

and for INTEL DC e5200 i got this record
    E5200 + GTS250
    3D Mark 06 11,098
    PC Mark 05 6,944

    E5200 @ 3.5GHz + GTS250
    3D Mark 06 13,876
    PC Mark 05 8,659

    E7200 + 9600GT (not quite a E7400 + 9600GT combo)
    3D Mark 06 9,732
    PC Mark 05 7,031

E7300 + HD3870 (again, not quite your set up)
    3D Mark 06 10,471
    PC Mark 05 6,921

    E7200 @ 3.1GHz + 9600GT
    3D mark 06 10,433
no PC Mark 05 record - sorry.
    from this link
Pollob.codname13 also having the same pc. Running NFS SHIFT in 50-70 FPS he has ATI 4770HD instead of 8600GT

    About 8600GT
Rush [th7.crush] altered his Sapphire HD4850 512MB GDDR3 PCI-E 2.0 with my 8600GT GDDR3 for Nfs SHIFT. [before the first patch released]
Had 25-45 FPS with 8600GT while he had 15-30/40 FPS using his own.
So i think my GFX is okey.

another issue is I AM NOT ABLE TO RUN RESIDENCE EVIL 5

This step is not for now.
i am going to do this after 1-1.5/2 Months.

    ADVICE PLEASE

U wont get 65nm dual core cpus now a days.so u r better off buying a new mobo probably G31(asus or gigabyte)&a new cpu maybe e5200(overclock if u wish).u dont need to change ur ram as g31 is compatible with 667modules.dont buy extra cooler as it wont help u that much.this netburst technology(pd) is just obsolete now.so good luck

Yes keep your GFX and change your Mobo to Asus G31 with a combo of E5200 and DDR2 800 RAMS

I guess either your stock cooler is damaged or you need to clean it up and apply atleast a mid quality paste with it. That should stable ur system pretty good. Using a high end/mid end cooler with ur pentium d is not a very bright idea cause it wont give u any significant improvment compared to a stable stack cooler. Due to high voltadge and nm its not a good overclocker. So spending a cooler on it is a waste. Try cleaning up ur stock cooler and use with paste, if its damaged then go for another stock cooler (costs 300tk) or non brand cooler (costs 400tk - 500tk slight better than stock) and if u have budget then get rid of ur pentium d and buy e5200. I dont see any point upgrading to g31 and upgrading ur ram to 800 bus is almost unnecessary (judging ur costs and gains). Just in case u wanna know a brand cpu cooler will cost around 3k to 5k with which u can easily get e5200, it will perform lot better than pd also its a imba overclocker (i am using it at 4ghz). Another thing, since u dont have a decent psu upgrading to e5200 will also lower ur power consumption (pd eats a lot power than e5200) so ur gfx will get more power range (86gt motamuti valoi power tane).

Upgrading your Mobo and Ram will ensure a better OC then the one you currently have now...some one over-looked this point

P5KPL-AM Mobo is a good mobo for medium oc's,especially combined with 45 nm processors it oc's good and also oc;s really well with a dual cored E5200
